We need more attacking players on the pitch, hopefully start next game with Jasper Mueller Henderson Hoff and Scott all playing from the start, great win but difficult to watch.

If they lose to St Johnstone I wonder if Aberdeen would look to move on Goodwin.

Two teams struggling for form and we managed to dig out a goal and 3 points, that'll do.

Yep. Boring game but it's a good feeling to come away with three points. Really important that we got a win early doors in the bottom six to put a bit of space between us and those below us, and also vital IMO that we do the same next weekend too.
It's been a horrible season but we now need to show that we have players who can show a bit of dig and a bit of fight, if not silky football.

Worst game of the season. Take a while to wear off the JR/SM backward and sideways passing game.

We literally got beat 3-1 from Hearts 2 weeks ago.

We won though.
Job done.
Season over.
Rebuild starts tomorrow.

Dunno, it must have a few competitors for that title.

Great 3 points, whilst not mathematically safe we are in a very strong position.
It's that time of the season when football fans, coaches and pundits use the word "mathematically" 🙂

If only we could have done that once more since January we’d be competing for a European place instead of languishing in the bottom six with points of a 4th place team. Maloney needed to ditch the pretty football (passing around at the back) weeks ago and win ugly. It would still have been pish to watch but it would have at least given us something for next season.

Much needed 3 points, wasn't pretty second half but it's results that matter.

Now I’m not saying it’s down to SDG by any means as the performance was poor, but we got the win.
That’s all Maloney was needing, a win here and there and that would have bought him fine but time after time he failed.
SDG has now won as many games as Maloney in the league this year.
Maloney had 5 games before the split where people kept saying “all we need is one win”
Dundee - 0-0
St Johnstone - 0-0
Aberdeen - 3-1 defeat
Dundee United -1-1
Hearts - 1-1
Not one win against the bottom 3 teams.
Peoplpe (including Ron) weren’t asking for an amazing transformation in four months, but win the odd game.
Like I said it’s not down to SDG and you could say it’s luck etc with St Mirren rattling the bar but Maloney had countless opportunities to have a right go at a game to get us the win and failed.
Well done SDG on getting that win.
Players - Well done but it still needs to be upped massively

10 Ahead of St J with 12 on the table, certainly don`t see them winning all 4 and us losing all 4 or not at least drawing any so SDG has come in and got the important 3 pts to ease any worries hopefully, over to the Sheep and St Mirren. Important win and thats all that mattered today

Exactly right.
I really fancied Bolton and Milton Keynes Dons to win today. I was only going to put on a double on the fixed odds but included Hibernian at the last second. Looked like we'd never score until Henderson stepped up and were lucky that St Mirren didn't. Lovely 8/1 treble up.
Well done Hibernian.

Not a pretty game to watch seemingly, but glad of the result. The only game I'm going to after the split is the one against Aberdeen, let's hope we can send them into the playoffs, I'd love to see them relegated.

Mostly pleased for SDG, that takes a lot of the pressure off.
I just want the season over now tbh.

Wasn't bothered at all about the game after the last few weekends. Happy we have got a win though as it's not happened nearly enough this year.
I think that kills off the slim chance we had of being dragged into a playoff spot.
I'll be glad when the season is finished but I hope we can put in a couple of decent performances for the fans that go to the remaining games.

100% this.
Sometimes football is a simple game complicated.
Happy we won today - ok we weren’t great but what a difference a win can make for the mood.

Did anyone try either of the 2 special edition pies St Mirren had on sale today, I stuck to my usual Macaroni Pie
They had a Kebab Pie on sale and a Pie of the month, Steak, Black Pudding and Peppercorn Sauce
