Received my upper tier tickets this morning.

So did mine!

But what are Hibs thinking about charging £2.50 delivery, cost of postage 1st class £0.72.

£1.78 to put it in an envelope and then called it an admin fee,if you collect it in person it still goes in an envelope?

It looks like we have about 500 tickets left for sale on the ticket site with the possibility of another 4500 tickets in the South(upper) and East. I would guess we have sold around 7000 of our potential 12k allocation

Would have guessed about the same looking at it. Actually more than I expected at this point I think.

I just checked and the East Stand has nearly 13k seats, so presumably the section we've initially been given has just over ~6.5k, with another ~6.5k available if we did sell those (plus the South Stand).

However, there will be a cut-off date for the SPFL to decide to hand them over to The Rangers instead, if our sales are really slow.

I think that's what happened the last time against Celtc

Be surprised if they opened up anymore for us. Still prime seats in the south and plenty in g2. Keep G1 for segregation and suspect the huns will have the remaining East stand to sell on Monday.

Not 100% sure about that tbh,but why the need to have a admin fee at all.
My tickets cost me £150, surely someone putting them into a envelope doesn't justify a fee?

Seems to be the way of the world at the minute. I agree admin fee seems to be a new thing and a rip off.

We have been allocated up to F7, there are about 360
tickets left in both the east and South so hardly plenty. I would guess we will another 1000-1500

There’s barriers in the concourse for proper segregation in the East. I doubt the police would allow any allocation that doesn’t fit in with that so I think it was always going to be we got as far as F7 and then if that had sold quickly we’d have been given the rest. Rangers will have already sold the rest of the East by now. The only decision that they will be thinking about is if we keep our section in the South Upper or not

Mine arrived today. If we can also get G1 near enough sold out then our allocation will be pretty packed out. As has been said it’s the hardcore that will be there and I imagine most will have had a few scoops with it being a late kick off so should all be in good voice. I cannot wait

Yes I do.

Ever since hearing that we’d only sold 4K the first weekend which I thought was pretty good going to be honest, I’ve been keeping an eye on this thread and it seems to be going well.

Hopefully sell out our allocation which it is sounding like we are close to doing, then asking for more.

Glad the sales are going well. Think two postponed games and the international break probably making people a bit hungrier to see the Hibs. If Gerrard goes to Villa that should boost sales as hopes rise of an upset.

It was me that posted that but I can only tell you what she ‘told me’

The reason I say it like that is that she was pretty rude and sort of shouted through the closed window that they were closed. I asked why as the sign on the front door said to go round the back for enquiries.

To which she again just shouted Monday, Wednesdays or Fridays only.

I assume it said on the posters dotted around that it’s only open these days but I couldn’t be arsed reading them in all honesty, wasn’t any point.

I maybe just caught the person at a bad time but it was quite annoying. I only stay round the corner so not a big deal for me.

I’ve a hunch they’ve put these busses on because of the amount of tickets we’ve sold.

If we were up at our usual 10-12k I’m not sure they would’ve been doing it. Could be wrong mind you.

Far from it I think, think there’s only been 6-7k sold

Because less tickets sold means less busses to be put on. I’m just unsure if they’d have done the same if we’d sold our usual semi final allocation.

Always the same when we play one of the old firm in a semi, maybe those fans expect us tae lose and therefore dont fancy it. The 8000 or so will make enough noise for the rest as we done in 91 and 04👍

I think you’re right. Poor form in the run up and playing v Rangers are big factors. It’s nothing to do with being a Sunday or later afternoon KO time. Hibs took 15,000 -20,000 for the semi v Aberdeen in 2017 ( that was a Saturday) and 15.000 v Dundee Utd in 2016.

Scottish Cup semis usually get a bigger crowd than the League Cup. 2017 League Cup semi was v Celtc, much smaller attendance than v Aberdeen in the Scottish. 2016 League Cup semi was v St Johnstone at Tynie.

Sorry pal, no one needs to make excuses not to attend a football match. The reality is that form and the fact it is v the Hun are factors and, as someone else has pointed out, League Cup semi finals tend to draw smaller crowds anyway.

:agree: It's not a binary decision. I very rarely miss a semi-final and had 100% been planning to go to this one but after the Celtic game, I started questioning it, weighing up the desire to be there to support the team against the prospect of trekking through to Glasgow late on a Sunday just to witness another insipid drubbing. In the end I decided not go - it doesn't sit easily from a duty/loyalty perspective but I just don't have any confidence in Ross and the players to show up.

If we get to the final against the same Celtic team will you be planning to go? Each to their own, but I genuinely hate this kind of attitude. Fair weather supporters aren’t really proper supporters imo. At the end of the day fans(or so called fans) can do whatever they like, but I don’t understand it. Enjoy watching on TV.

Can’t imagine anybody is sitting thinking that it’ll be cold and dark so they won’t bother (or very few will be).

When less folk think we have a chance of winning, less folk turn up. Look at the last two League Cup semi finals against Celtic. Even though the 2017 one was a disappointing turnout, there was a good few thousand more than ther was at the 2019 one. Difference is it was team doing all right against a Hibs team under Hecky.

Me and my mates have got our tickets. Not surprised with the sales combination of how we are atm and historically league cup semi final. I recall one under Lennon vs Celtic and we must have had about 8/9k just? That was a hibs team that believed they could beat the old firm also.

If Jack Ross doesn’t believe he can beat Rangers or Celtic then there will be people who will stay away expecting a timid sit off display.

Absolutely, if they appoint Van Bronckhorst early next week and it being his first game we will be up against it due to the feel good that will likely bring for them. Hopefully they have a wee stalling and taking their time and take their eye off the ball.

Jack Ross just doesn’t ooze belief against the big guns.

In all seriousness, when was the last time we took 10k to a league cup semi final? Have we ever? Sold out three stands at Tynecastle a couple of times but Glasgow is a different story. Sounds like we're doing pretty well numbers wise.

The Celtic semi under Lennon we did. We’d demanded a 50/50 though and they weren’t happy with the empty seats.

I’m unsure where folk are getting we’ve only sold 7/8K from anyway - looking at eticketing theres about 100 seats left in G2, a couple hundred in H2 in the upper, everywhere else looks about full bar the odd single seat?

F7, G1 and some of the south upper sections not on sale yet (as opposed to being sold out).

I reckon about 6/7k and we’ll get up to about 8k.

We have 2 more sections in the East that we can potentially sell G1 and F7. Around 1800 tickets in total including what’s left in G2.. We probably have about 750 tickets available if more sections are opened in the South. We must be getting close to 10k sold.

Don’t think we’ve sold as much as that in the east. East holds 12800. G8 is a really small section, not even a hundred seats. G6 and G7 are smaller sections. G5 slightly smaller. From G4 round to F1 the sections are all then pretty comparable. First few rows weren’t sold either. Reckon more like 4-5k sold in there.

What do you mean by your last statement? What makes you think Ross doesn’t believe we can beat Celtic or Rangers? After our game at ibrox he said he was annoyed because he and the players believed they could win the game, we were anything timid up until the red card.

I may be going against the consensus here, but I’m looking forward to this smaller Hibs support. Atmosphere in our end will be cracking. It’ll be mainly regulars / those who go to away games and ST holders. Very few day-trippers and less families and young children. I suspect the very fact it’s Rangers will see this be mainly an adult crowd. Bring it on - getting 2004 semi-final vibes from this one.

I was at that 2004 semi final ans yes it was brilliant ... but it was brilliant because Hibs turned up and made a real game of it and galvanized the few Hibbies who were there into sounding more like 20,000 than 7,000

But the last semi Hibs fans could actually be at was that battering from Celtic and the Hibs support that night was utterly pathetic, there's no other way to put it. When I got to the top of the stairs a few minutes before kick off and realised just how poor a turnout it was my heart sank and I wouldn't be surprised if our players had the same feeling running out of the tunnel. I can't help feeling that this is going to be something similar .. hopefully not the result, but certainly the affect seeing all those empty seats at our end could have on the players.

2016 is beginning to feel like decades ago and whatever good it did do our club its pretty clear it did little for our ability to take a decent turnout to semi finals folk think we might lose. 2004 was a one off mate and I would rather see 15,000 Hibs fans there to back our team at Hampden than 7000 any day of the week.

Agree with all of this- a small support doesn't guarantee anything at all. That Celtic game was terrible- hundreds leaving after 20 odd minutes (which is becoming a common thing when we go a couple of goals down in recent years) and loads of abuse towards the management and players. It wasn't the greatest of times but supporters can help when times are bad.

The 7,000 in 2004 were great, but also Rangers only had about 20,000 that night whereas it'll be close to double that this time and they'll be fired up with defiance as well after recent events.

In saying all that I've a good feeling about next week and really hope we can get closer to 10k.

There’s no doubt that our form was poor before the enforced break but the ticket up take is similar to previous LC semi finals…which would lead me to believe that demand is never that strong whatever form we are in.

We took ***** supports to Hampden for LC semis under Lennon and Hecky too and they were much closer to our SC win. I think it's more down to the time of year/day/weather etc. We've sold out Tynecastle twice for semis. Expensive traipsing through there especially in late November.

There can’t be that many folk sitting worried about the weather or it being dark.

It’s an hour along the road for most. The fitbaw dictates how many folk want to go. Even the two Celtic games show the difference. The one folk thought we had a chance we had over 10k (which is historically all right for a semi final in this competition). The one where everyone thought we’d get pumped, we had about 6k or 7k or whatever it was.

The fact the League Cup is now concluded before Christmas is mental in my opinion, absolutely no coincidence in my eyes that it has been won exclusively by Celtic in the four seasons where it has been like that since 2016. Went back to how it should be last season due to COVID, lo and behold you had two semi finals with none of the Old Firm featuring (i.e. a far better competition)

What's the logic to this one?

I think the top teams bypassing the group stage and getting straight into the last 16 (and being seeded at that point too) probably has an impact, but not sure about the time of year?

Surely Celtic's focus is more stretched at the beginning of the year as they fight on more fronts and are more likely to improve after the January transfer window?

I got jumped on for saying this also with folk referring to the last game which was actually one of our better performances v rangers under Ross until the sending off.

But I agree, 0 wins v old firm. And the last game at home to Celtic with a midfield of gogic newell and JDH all but confirmed how much he sh*ts it.

This could easily be Jack Ross’s Heckingbottom moment with the way we got beat in the 5.2 v Celtic

It's the same for all clubs out with The Rangers and Celtic.

10k supporters is above average and has been for as long as I can recall. There are some exceptions to this of course but in the main clubs like Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen do well to take over 10k fans to a LC semi.

For comparison here are some of Hearts more recent details..

LC semi 2010 - Heats v St Mirren attendance 9170
LC semi 2008 - Hearts v Rangers attendance 31900
LC semi 2005 - Hearts v Motherwell attendance 14009

Sure our actual allocation was 12k and still a fair bit short of that with F7 not opened and most of G1 unsold (we’ve not sold as many as it looks in that section as they didn’t open up quite a number of rows at the front and back). Couple of sections in the south upper not open yet as well.

I still reckon we’ll be pushing towards 10k by the time Sunday comes which is better than I expected.

I'm beyond caring how many tickets we have sold.

I'm going and I'll be supporting the team as will 5, 9 or 11K others. People will have valid reasons for not going, others just can't be ersed because we have been a bit pish and they think we will lose. Their loss if we win.
:agree: Across the city they've always been obsessed with crowd size and we used to laugh at them for it, now some of our support are going the same way obsessed with numbers.

I think we’re looking no bad for 10K which as has been said earlier in the thread is in line with what we usually take and similar to what Hearts have in the past mustered for semis at ER in ties they were expected to win. Twitter and Facebook is just full of spraffing Huns. Dunno how decent that screenshot has uploaded

Exactly. Hearts couldn't even sell their allocation at Easter Road for a semi against Inverness.

How was the checking of vaccination details last night?

Non existent - few stewards away from the ground asking and when ignored never bothered to go after them. Biggest pain was the queues to get in, not moving all, ended up walking in the big fire exit gate where the steward advised he wasn’t chasing folk and couldn’t care less. Otherwise I’d have missed the first 20 minutes.

The Ticket Office have told me that they were posted on 5 November and they quoted the correct address. I am now having to pick up replacement tickets at Hampden on match day.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes - just realised mine hadn't arrived. It seems they sent them to house 46 instead of 4/6 on 8th Nov. So now I need to go along there and see if the other address still have them :grr:

The thing that confuses me is why the address has changed on the system - I've had loads of stuff mailed to me in the past without any issue.

It’s a mental situation where to collect tickets we actively close the ticket office 50% of the time, and only open during majority of peoples core working times. There’s no choice but to collect, therefore there really should be more effort put into making it easy for our support.

It’s beyond crazy. I mean could they not close it Monday instead of Saturday? Why can’t they open a pod outside the ground or why not utilise the club shop?

I appreciate most fans who want tickets will probably already have them but what about the folks working on building sites/offices etc that take a fancy for going.

I do wonder why with the technology available now that we cannot print at home. The ticketmaster system allows this. The tickets are sold by the league but surely it would be a simple fix to allow this to be offered by all clubs attending matches at Hampden. Takes a lot of pressure off the ticket offices of the clubs.

Following the Euros Hampden now has the scanners at each turnstile so there’s no reason why they couldn’t do this. E-tickets were issued by the SFA for the last three Scotland games.

From what I’ve seen, it has been a fine balance up to this point to keep the staff and supporters safe during the phased return of the office during the pandemic, ensuring the the hard-working ticket office can stay open at regular points.

Thanks to supporters for their patience on this. I’ll help share the update later.

We only had F7 to go so not handed back that many for there (if we have handed that section back). When we released G1 there were quite a number of rows at both the front and back not made available so there might be some still to go on sale if those available to go.

Agree we’re probably about 9k and will be somewhere between there and 10k we finish up with.

Yes very well done that man. Appreciate it is out of Hibs hands for the weekend, but print at home for all games is a must.

They're just jealous because they got put out in the 1st knockout round as they couldn't manage to get themselves seeded by getting a 2nd goal against Inverness at Tynecastle, when they had the advantage of knowing what they had to do as they played the day after all the other groups had finished.

Who cares how many fans we take! This obsession over attendances from both sides, especially those in maroon, is petty as hell.

Sometimes we take smaller numbers to semi finals (last league cup semi v the Huns I'm sure we only had about 7k) sometimes we take bigger numbers (against Aberdeen in 2017 we had over 20k).

Guarantee if we make the final we'll sell 25k minimum, like we've done all finals we've played this century (excluding this year due to COVID-19 restrictions).

Ah sorry, thought you'd be able to buy at the ticket office tomorrow

Edit:You can, 10am to 1pm. As per Hibs Twitter.

Thats Huns in that pic mate.

The pic in this tweet clearly shows the small amount of Hearts fans that attended that day :

Yeah that’s what I was getting at mate. Huns occupied all those seats with Hearts fans in the same sections we have sold

Edit: the debate in that Twitter post could not sum them up any better. Proof from the press of what their allocation was, photographic proof of the actual attendance but the Hearts fan says they took 14,000 so that’s just a fact and all the proof and evidence to the contrary is simply wrong.

:agree::agree::agree:

Sorry mate see what you mean now.

Apparently the Jambo boy needs to go away and get his laptop to provide proof that Hearts took 14k.

Funnily enough he hasn't been heard of since he made that vow yesterday afternoon.:hilarious

It doesn't really matter if there is 1000 or 10000 of us there. If we are up for it and get bet behind the team then we will outsing the huns even if we are outnumbered 4 or 5 to 1.

It's usually the case in these types of situations. They come in their droves but it's like a ****ing library. The 2004 semi is the best example. There were about 8K of us there that night (80K if everyone who claimed to be there actually was) and we barely heard a peep from that lot. There was even an ironic cheer when they tried to start a song at HT in extra time.

The Hibs end will be absolutely jumping on Sunday. 10k means it's likely to be 10k hardcore and not so much families etc (not that there's anything wrong with that). Really looking forward to losing my voice singing naughty songs aimed at that mob 😉

Yeah I seen that, have checked back a couple of times actually to see if he’s located his laptop but no joy yet. Funny that [emoji1787] Suspect he won’t return or he may return and claim that his laptop has been wiped or something but it was definitely 14k then just repeat that for eternity

One of my workmates said the Stickies have sold 38,000 tickets.

Hopefully Hibs shut them up with an early goal....and we don't get anybody set off.

Glad I asked here,I don't do Twitter.
I thought they might have said something on line regards it.

I presume it’s because you have to go into ER tomorrow to pick them up anyway, so no more online

They are also advising people who have not received their tickets to email the club and there will be replacement tickets that can be picked up at Hampden.

Tickets for Sunday’s semi-final are now no longer available online.

Supporters will, however, be able to purchase them from the Ticket Office tomorrow between 10am and 1pm.

Anyone still to collect their tickets for Sunday’s game against Rangers must do so before 1pm tomorrow - this will be your last chance to collect.

If you should have had your tickets arrive through the post and they have not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and they can arrange reprints for you to pick up at Hampden.

If you haven't had your ticket posted out to you, then defo get in touch ASAP.

Mel from the TO replied to my earlier E-Mail that there's been a problem with one of the Sorting Offices in Glasgow, which apparently had to close because of Covid.

Glad you got it resolved. Is the party at your house after the game. 😁

So as an official part-timer with no money and young kids I caught the bug earlier this morning and a mate is passing the ticket office tomorrow but is on a very tight turn-around…he’s offered to stop and get one but will have to skip it if the queue is too big.

Do we think there will be much appetite for late shows like me?

The last time I looked at the ticket map before it went off line there looked to be less than 100 left. So looks like a sell out from us.
