They are playing well. Looking at the BBC site they have scored 7 goals from 26 shots on goal, 11 of which were on target. We have scored 7 from 44 shots, 18 of which were on target. Stats don't always tell the story but on this occasion they are spot on. We create loads of chances and aren't that great at scoring from them.

The big difference I think is that St Mirren give up a huge number of shooting chances, 42 in their last 3 games against only 15 for us. Standard of opposition obviously plays a part but I think we will win by a couple tonight. We may not be great at finishing chances but if St Mirren continue to give us that many chances we should score one or two more than them

Feel like I’ve just watched the 1st half of the Utd game again but without so many chances plus not at same intensity. Goal was really good but a steady 7 out of 10 so far.

We don’t seem in any real danger but we need a 2nd goal and sure Ross will be making that clear at half time.

Deserve to be 1-0 up, but not impressed by the performance overall - we lack creativity and we play too many safe passes and balls back and to the side - we need more pace going forward - we need another goal at least to be sure of 3 points. St Mirren play some neat football, but they are toothless up front - not sure how they beat Rangers :confused:

Far too many loose clearances down the centre of the park.If Ross wants to give Magennis game time he can’t play Stevenson. Thete’s absolutely nothing going forward down the left. Doidge,Nisbet and Boyle are all doing well but the service from behind is very slow.

He’s only back from a long term injury - common to give minutes here and there. Was always a risk when signing him but hopefully we are managing him properly.

Given our habit of throwing away leads at home I checked out the odds of a wee insurance policy for this game.

Was expecting 8/1 or 9/1 for the draw to fund a good bottle of whisky but it is only 18/5....not worth it so hope Hibs hang on.
