No thanks. That's a losers mentality.

Actually one thing winners do is move on from a disappointment and not dwell on it. Improve on it, yes, but constant wallowing in losing is what losers do.

a chance to beat celtic tomo in the scottish, take 3points v them and easily beat utd today. i like the usual hibs.net roll out of posters to justify the poor performance to kill off utd today.

Are you going to cry about the semi final every time we drop points this season? time to let it go

The year is 2061. Hibs have drawn 2-2 with Cove Rangers in the Quarter Finals of the Atlantic League super knockout championship.

Zambernardi posts to remind us that this is us living with the failure of losing a cup semi to Hearts 41 years ago.

Soooooo frustrating.

Don’t agree with taking Hallberg off for Gogic with 20 to go. Hallberg was playing well and with 20 mins to go we should be trying to get another, not defending a 1-0.

Agree with that statement however we haven't improved on this over the years.

It's a mentality issue for me. How many times have we lost a last minute goal in the last 5 years to either draw or lose a game.

Today for the first 45 mins we were miles ahead and should of been two or three up.

2nd half they improved slightly however we need looked in trouble until last 5mins.

We were probably fortunate to win up there earlier in the season so maybe abit karma.

Days like today really split the fans.
Huge disappointment yet again......honest to god, why are we such an up and down, inconsistent, extremely frustrating team?.
However, what pisses me off is fans not being allowed to vent on their own fans website without getting ripped a new one by fans who happen to have a differing opinion.

Surely most of us have been around the block enough to realise this is life as a hibs fan.
Lighten up, its Xmas.

Never ever understood this logic. How on earth would a 'mentality issue' with almost an entirely different squad and a different management team have any bearing on a result years apart.

Its certain fans that carry this mentality of 'bottlers' , 'boyband', 'Hibsed it' nonsense. Not the players, not the management. We won't win every game we deserve to. Time some Hibs fans come to accept that as part and parcel of the game of football.

This ‘only Hibs’ stuff is self defeatist nonsense.

It is not true by any stretch of the imagination that certain things only happen to us or happen more regularly.

certain fans may carry the mentlity of bottlers or boyband nonsense, but they all knew in the last 15-20mins utd were gona score. strange that

Was pretty disappointed with the way we finished the game, especially as you could feel the equaliser coming for a while having controlled almost every minute of the first half. A lot of that is due to how United changed and improved shortly after the restart.. however it was pretty poor that we seemed incapable of managing the game after some poor finishing meant we didn’t put it to bed.

But at the end of the day, but for some ridiculous goalkeeping we would have been out of sight at half time.

Move on and get ready for the next.

The Utd. Goal was a pretty lucky break of the ball off Newell. Seigrist was also throwing out limbs and hoping for the best on more than one occasion.

Wasn't our day, but pleased with how balanced we're looking in midfield. Strikers linking up nicely to, despite some under par finishing. The Nisbet touch to set up Doidge's 1v1 was quality.

Just watched the Liverpool highlights on motd. 9 chances and 7 goals shown. We may not be quite in that class but we need to do better than today in terms of finishing

Having had a tough day yesterday, I bought the game and watched it without commenting too much.

The longer it went on and the chances missed had a bad feeling they would get one chance and they so they did.

Turned the TV off. Watched YouTube for a bit and then me and the wife watched sunshine on leith last night.

This morning is a new day and a win midweek will get us back on track. Time for a run.

We are not even in the same galaxy as Liverpool but that Firmino dink for goal number 5 is something Doidge and Boyle need to work on.

Let's not forget that united keeper kept them in the game with some good saves otherwise we would have the game

A lucky break off the ball because Newall hadn’t bothered to go with the runner and allowed McNulty through. Newall is decent when he has the ball but is lazy when the other team has it. He is totally 100% at fault for the Utd equaliser but he’s bulletproof on here so Doidge is getting pelters.

Doidge and 1 on 1 situations: he has an unwelcome knack of hitting the ball straight at the keeper. Yesterday was reminiscent of the first fixture at Pittodrie last season, and even on Tuesday v Alloa he fluffed another such incident.

He brings so much to the team, but surely this is an area he can still be coached on to improve and change his technique/decision making?

Keith Wright was superb in the same scenario. Usually managed to place the ball to a side.

I know Doidge had scored in the last few games, but he’s had a ridiculous number of chances over the games at Hamilton, Alloa and yesterday. Not just half chances. The likes of his efforts in the first half yesterday were unlucky as it was just instinctive. But there has been one on ones with keepers, free headers from 6 yards and so on.

I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say he could (should) have got himself 7 or 8 goals over those games.

How refreshing to see a post like that. It was a sickner but happens so often in football. Need to take it on the chin and move on.

We were very poor in all the 1 v 1 situations yesterday. It has been a criticism for a while, particularly directed towards Doidge. In one of the chances against United, Magennis was in the centre of the box with no marker (think Doidge was with the ball). Would have been a tap in. I know when you’re racing in towards the 6 yard box, with the keeper charging out, instincts force you to strike on goal, but you see so many chances, at all levels, where a square ball would be the far better option. All players can be guilty of that, and I know it’s a split second decision, but it’s so frustrating when a team mate is in the middle of the goal with no one near them, and the ball isn’t rolled to them.

I’m sure a lot of people say what they think is coming most weeks and then it doesn’t work out that way. This week it did. If you only come on saying this stuff then now and again you’ll be right with it.

Not sure this Hibs team is inconsistent. We are sitting third in the league and doing better than we’ve done for years.

Only thing I thought we were missing yesterday was have an overload of players in the box when we had chances. When we thumped Motherwell and Hamilton we have four or five players in the box every time we made chances. Didn’t have that v Alloa and again yesterday. Confident JR will have that sorted out going forward

I've noticed that Hallberg has been good at making those late runs into the box. Maybe we've finally started to find his role in the team.

Although by all accounts JR ripped certain players a new one in the dressing room afterwards.

And rightly so It was two points dropped He knows if we want to push for third place it’s games like this that will thwart that ambition
He now needs to find a way to beat an inform St Mirren midweek
