Well done Hibs! Just tuned in fearing the worst, but pleasantly surprised to read of a positive result (and performance by all accounts)

Yeah I'm willing to admit I might have been overly harsh on him. Best defence in Scotland and he gave them trouble, unlucky not to score and his movement got us a goal.
Couple of starts and he looks a lot sharper
Still feel like he needs someone up top with him, but cant see us going that way so the midfield need to anticipate him getting the ball a bit more

Always a great point vs Celtic especially now that they have Rangers breathing down their necks and they are desperate not to drop any points.
Hopefully we are now turning a corner and the past couple of results give the team the confidence to kick on.

You must be gutted
To be fair to Hermit Crab a few folk thought the same including me But am delighted we got a point
A win was beyond us as we aren’t creating But sound s like we improved from wed and were organised and made it difficult for them
Something to build on , which a few weeks ago seemed beyond us

Doidge was fantastic today
Said the other day I didn’t think he was as bad as people make out. He was outstanding today. Reminded me of Steven Fletcher.

Some lovely quick passes around the Celtic box today that against lesser teams would have found more space for a shot.

Still a bit toothless with 1 up front though. Doidge and Kamberi to start next week.
Has to be. I heard a critique of Doidge midweek that all his headers went to Killie players. It was most the same today but I think it’s more to do with being up top alone rather than him.
Get the two of them up together and let’s see what happens.

yeah he did well today. Was blowing out his backside the last 10 mins. Kamberi should have been on instead.

We can get something at Aberdeen, they are in a sticky patch the now. I think we can get a result, especially with 2 up top.

Tom James has to attack header opportunities in the box. He went through the motions of challenging Christie for their goal but only the motions, he never showed the determination required to take it off Christies head and there was a chance to do that. He needs to be braver and more committed in situations like that. Someone posted earlier this week that he'd get caught for pace and that showed when Celtic brought Hayes on. Over all he had a decent game as did most of them. PH substitutions curious but paid off, thought Kamberi would have got some time. Good point and deserved but need to carry that on to other games and win games we should be winning.

Battled well. A wee bit disappointed we weren’t a bit braver in the second half, I thought it was there to win. We need to find a system that allows us to create more.
Can’t have many complaints today though.

Probably our best performance since PH took over.
Pleased with the result.
Back in the taxi, better, more fight and players fighting for each other. Maybe not a lot of chances but I liked the attitude, under the cosh for a lot of that 2nd half.

First game I've enjoyed this season. Doidge and our back 4 did really well.

Battling point. I thought Whittaker did ever so well coming on at centre half in a back 4. I hope Jackson isn't too bad as that looked like a bad head knock, his pass to Allan in the build up to the goal was class. James slept on their goal but he was very solid and stood up to a lot of pressure the rest of the time. Hallberg looks like a good buy for me. He's smart tactically and seems to be able to play, much more to come from him. Unfortunately Middleton looks exactly like the player I thought he was, anonymous. He's no winger or wide midfielder. I thought it was a bizarre signing to replace Boyle at the time and I still think that. Doidge would be even better with movement around him. He's also useful defending corners. Great leap on him.
Encouraging and if we grow from here then who knows maybe he will be back at the wheel.

We were well worth our point and it's the first time this season I feel I could say that honestly.
It makes the derby result worse though.

Stick when it’s due and praise when it’s due. Today was a vast improvement, can understand reluctance of some to overcommit in final third, given the opposition, so some of our better forward play didn’t result in a chance. Maybe today will give the squad more belief to gamble a but more.

Jeeso, the guy is Hibby like the rest of us and many thought we would take a sore one today, as it turned out we got a good point everybody happy, unless you are not?
There are few of us wanting us beat, although I did read one poster say it on the basis it may speed up PH departure.

There’s a few folk on here that love having a pop at other Hibs fans for some reason.
No idea why.
HC comes in for a lot of it but I bet he goes to more games than the folk slagging him off all the time.
It’s tiresome reading it every week.

Allan was good, Mallan not so good. What was that free kick near the end all about? Complete waste and allowed Celtic to break out.
Hibs were back-pedalling for much of the second half but for once the defence stood firm. Maxwell was excellent.
That's what I think anyway.

Best performance this season IMO. The team worked really hard, and that gives me hope that they can eventually start moving up the table. The ref was awful and IMO we got away with 2 penalty decisions not given against us, but it was still a vast improvement on what I've seen recently. Some of Scott Allan's passing was 1st class, so glad the manager has him playing in his best position now. Although Doidge played quite well I still think Kamberi is more mobile and playing 2 up front might be the way to go, although that has already been tried this season with limited effect. Still, a point I couldn't really see us getting before the game, so glad to be proven wrong on this occasion.

It was a fighting performance but hardly a structured one. Celtic were stronger in all areas really and in the end we were pretty fortunate to survive. The midfield is the problem. Allan is very good but he's no McGregor.

I’d expect Celtic to be stronger in all areas every time they play us due to their budget.
Kinda makes today’s result all the more pleasing.

We will agree to disagree as mcgregor was bang average, brown was more of a threat going forward for celtic than mcgregor

Yes it was a fighting performance, Allan was better than Mcgregor & no we weren't fortunate to survive.

Looking to come up on the 26th for Ross county.
I'm sure I seen tickets advertised on sale today at the game on the advertising boards but when I go on eticketing it says not on sale.

Great point, even better to keep another clean sheet which will give the defence confidence. Think it's no coincidence that since Maxwell has come in there's more composure and care when kicking from feet - Rocky was placing them under pressure with his kicking to no one / the opposition. Hanlon played well, as did Doidge. Great chance to take something up at Pittodrie judging by Aberdeen's recent form but would like to be more attacking up there. Good end to a difficult week :aok: team and manager deserve a lot of credit today -they worked really hard for each other.

I knew we'd had a penalty this season like the tackle on Bauer that Celtic never got today where Horgan takes him out. The challenge on Doidge in this game v Arbroath. He got his pass away but is taken out and the ref gives us a pen. I was surprised Clancy never gave it today.
