I blame the guy with the spanner who couldn't put the lights out for a third time.

Not back to the future, but back to the past. It's an all so familiar scenario in my many years supporting Hibs.

Possibly the best timed film quote ever.
Soon possibly to followed by potentia season ticket holders saying “”we’ll chin chin and do carry on with your mud pies” as they head out.
Och I’m still behind Lennon. Poor spell. Hard to replace players. Bad teams don’t suddenly become bad a few weeks after ripping up another team 6-0. But there’s clearly something not going well at ER at the mo. Too many different angles to say why we are in this bad spell.

How Mallan hasn’t been dropped amazes me. Other than the odd free kick he doesn’t seem that interested in doing anything.

When’s it time to start bedding in the youth players? Surely there’s two or three ready to come in

I liked Fraser Murray when he got the chance. The midfield is so poor he couldn’t do any worse.

That’s it mate deflect your attention away from how bad we were today and our current form by having a pop at someone being negative 👍🏼 pretty gutted by how things are turning out in all honesty, don’t really understand the whole “aw you’ll be happy” thing when things aren’t going well

I am just back and that was abysmal. I am not going to blame individuals as that was as bad a team performance as I have seen for a long time. This is not a blip and I really can’t see what we can do to stop the rot. There is no fight, no leadership, no composure and a lot of our players are poor.
I hope it changes but just don’t see it happening.

To be fair it's not just the odd free kick. Isn't it something ridiculous like 9 from outside the box? If I'm Lennon I'd be tempted to keep him in for his dead ball delivery alone. Especially when we've been held scoreless in five out of our last six games. The malaise isn't about Mallan.

Mallan has been responsible for 15 goals this season, either assists or finishes. Bonkers that anyone thinks he is the problem!
Just think how bad things might be without him....

Just back.
First half we were awful, worst it's been in years.
2nd half we were much better and if Shaw had put away his header we might of got a draw as we were the better team at that point.
Horgan was good when he came on and 4 4 2 shape suited us much better I thought.
Some below par performances, Milligan, Whitty,McGregor and Hanlon toiled throughout there time on the pitch.
Boyle has been really poor recently and done nothing. Kamberi confidence looks shot to pieces.
I must say once the lights went off the 2nd time the game should of been abandoned imo. I know killie fans would say that at 2nil up that wouldn't be fair on them but at 2nil a goal totally changes a game and I'd argue we were coming into the game at that point and once they went off we totally lost the momentum and were never gonna get back into it.

He brings positives, no doubt about it, but at what cost?
We're losing the midfield every week, a midfield that he has been a constant part of.
The malaise is all about how to build a team unit that manages to play to the strengths of our best players without exposing too many of their weaknesses, and at the moment we are seeing much more of Mallan chasing shadows than scoring rakers, much more of Horgan making poor decisions in possession than beating players with ease etc etc.

Back to being spanked by teams like Kilmarnock or St Johnstone that shouldn't be anywhere near us. Ah well, that's what we get for returning to penny pinching.

I don't think that's about Mallan, it's more to do with the overall formation.

Well a balanced midfield four would of course be something like an enforcer type (Milligan on form?) A fantasista or #10, a box to box everyman and a tricky winger (or two if you prefer a five). But in the absence of that balance I'll have the contribution to goals that Mallan gives you, everytime.
Maladjusted malcontents pinning the malaise on Mallan is massively misguided.:cb

That’s my issue with Mallan. Anytime he is near a “sort of scoring opportunity” he knocks it forward and takes a punt which essentially is the same as taking a free kick in my eyes. Yes he scored goals not taking that away, but how many times as he opted for that instead of passing and pressing forward. Luck plays more of a part than skill when it comes to Mallan.

No complaints whatsoever about the result but that's not real football on those pitches. It's like playing on a bare frozen carpet.

Watching lSportscene today and saw the highlights of the Hearts vs Rangers match. Berra was back from injury after a fifteen week lay off and what a match he had. He was absolutely outstanding for them, an absolute stalwart in defence. Which brings me to my point, our captain Paul Hanlon made his comeback last week after a short spell out through injury. Now I like Hanlon but in the two games he’s played, he’s now been heavily involved in shipping three goals. It’s the little things that make all the difference. He seriously needs to get back to basics and that goes for his sidekick McGregor also. Two guys who used to be so dependable are now letting themselves down.

First question, all of them. Second question, not nearly as many as I'd like. But the stats speak for themselves surely.

Stevie Mallan has scored 9 goals so far this season very impressive
4 of which were against the part timers from the Faroes so the figures are slightly skewed
He scored a double versus Hamilton on 6/10/18 almost 2 months ago.
What worries me is his overall contribution to the team especially with regard to open play which needs to be seriously addressed if he is to make the grade which I think is the point the OP is trying to make
Is he currently a waste of a jersey or do we bring him on American Football style only for free kicks ( if we were allowed to)?
