So people suggested they would not renew and it took some time for the ticket office to get to grips with the changes? Nothing surprising. If that is your only argument against the attendance scheme then that is poor

We must be the ****test set of fans in the country if people would not renew a season ticket if we introduced a loyalty points scheme to reward our most dedicated fans.
Either Hearts and Aberdeen fans are more dedicated and would not entertain such a thing or it's a big white lie being spun by those who simply don't want it introduced as it would mean they would have less a chance of getting a ticket for Tynecastle. Which is it?
Think I covered that in post 489 in this thread.

I don't think so. Post 489 gives a good case for ST cancellations due to the existence of loyal points to be a hibs.net myth. So says the writer of Post 489:wink:

Our most dedicated fans have an away season ticket. If that is fully subscribed then I’m fully in favour of expanding that.

I know guys who go to almost every single away game and for them not to be given some sort of priority over people who only want to go to Tynecastle is a disgrace to be honest.
The poll on here, and the much larger one on Twitter , show a clear majority of Hibs fans who have voted in favour of the introduction of a loyalty points system.
I suspect the reason you are being so vocal about this subject is that you rarely attend away games but you want a ticket for Tynecastle and a loyalty point system would disadvantage you from getting one.

Honestly though, all through the loyalty point set up, I got tickets for Tynecastle. I had enough points as it happens. I go to less away games now because of Ozyhibby jnr’s footy commitments but I have been consistent on this issue since before it got scrapped.
If they bring it back it won’t really affect me that much.

Should take it up to max tickets we get for Ibrox and Celtic Park, if we can’t get the loyalty scheme back

Surely that devalues a season ticket which is the reason you don't support a loyalty points scheme?
Season ticket holders (apart from the small number who would be on the AST scheme) would have literally no chance of a ticket for Ibrox and Celtic park.

Even if there wasn't a full take up any increase in number on the scheme would reduce the amount of tickets available to season ticket holders thus making it more difficult for them to optain a ticket. Would that not devalue the season ticket in your view?

With cup games we have a right to request an allocation far bigger than what we’d expect for a league game.
Increasing the size of the AST doesn’t do anything to help those who attend a significant proportion of the away games versus those who only want tickets for Tynecastle.

I know that but the point I was making was if we drew the likes of Dumbarton with an allocation of 3/400, then having 900 or 1000 AST wouldn’t work

How many tickets would we get if we were to play Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill? It's not the big club that's the issue in cup games.
Can those who argue against loyalty points yet see no issue with an AST explain what the difference is? Seems to me that one is a closed shop needing an existing member to give up their right while the other gives everyone a chance of reaching the points needed to get the big match tickets. Loyalty points the cut off point in terms of points needed for a ticket at Ibrox can be set higher than Tynecastle and at a point that still gives season ticket holders the chance of getting a ticket.

For me saying we should have 900 or so away season tickets holders, was just a reply to the many posts on this thread
If we were to give 900 the opportunity, it would just hand money into the smaller opposition teams pockets

If I remember right Dumbarton was one of the games back then where loyalty points were fairly crucial.
Pre-AST of course.

Apologies, you’re absolutely right, hadn’t thought of that. A game like that though would be another scramble where loyalty points would be hugely advantageous IMO.

The simple point being made is what happens if we play a smaller club with a smaller allocation of tickets where that number of tickets is less than the number of away ST holders? In the absence of a loyalty scheme. A lottery?

He could go down as one of the signings that didn’t really work out. He scored for fun until he arrived at ER. I’m sure we tried to sign him when he was in his prime though.
