Shock you're being a wide-o and boring the pants off the thread as per, nice one :aok:

:faf:

If poking fun at the ridiculous suggeztion that someone should lose their livelihood over something that hasn't even happened yet and might not, the reasons for which are not entirely clear, constitutes being a wide-o, then I'm guilty as charged.

what happens if several hundred turn up at the south to patg, more than the balance of the 600 tickets United are selling. Will those folk get turned away or will they take money?

Do you seriously think that several hundred ticketless Dundee United fans will turn up tonight? Really?

http://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?317500-Help-ticket-needed Oh yeah. Everyone who wants a ticket will get one. No one has posted about not having a ticket. And thats just the small minority of Hibs fans who post on Hibs.net. lol

Looks like everyone who wanted one is getting one, to me. lol

Also the only reason people are getting tickets is because of people phoning up the ticket office if they cant make it. Something that rarely happens. So yeah. lol

I think it's a bit over-simplified to state that everyone who wants a ticket is getting one. Many will have been put off as soon as the 'sold out' message went out. They may not want to stalk the seating plan looking for the odd ticket to come up, especially if they would normally go with a bunch of mates. If several hundred came up in the south I'm sure they would have sold, considering we were selling over a hundred or so an hour. I would imagine it will be looked at in terms of the handling of it all. Not worked up about it, but I think it has been of merit to discuss how it's been handled. fwiw I'm delighted, as are all, that we have shifted this many. Well done to all for getting behind the team. GGTTH.

Is it just me or can we really say it's 'sold out' untill every seat has a bum on it?

I'm not that bothered that we ain't housing Hibs supporters in the South but we can really advertise it as sold if there is a big chunk of stand empty.

But we are not them...I get that the normal 3 stands will be filled to the gunnels but I just don't think it can be classed as a sell out if the the Dunbar Road end is half full.

we can claim the home support is sold out. And in fact we have probably managed to sell 18,000 seats where only 16,500 exist due to resales.....................so its oversold:aok:

A 'bunch of mates' who left it this late to buy tickets have nobody to blame but themselves.

It's not a problem if they have, they will just put them in the Dunbar end, there's plenty room in there. :greengrin

The seats that are now on sale were already sold, to Season Ticket holders, so I think it's fair to say that it was sold out.

Surely the fact that the club are now selling them again is a piece of marketing genius.

Just over 2 hours till kick off and it looks like the wine from water tickets have finally dried up.
Looks like DU have sold 2,200 leaving 300 for sensible sober walk up Hibs fans to snap up from the pods.

Would say there are about 100-200 empty seats in the Famous Five lower - presumably season ticket holders who didn't show up and didn't release their seats for resale.

they gave us the end, during a cup match not a league match. If we meet them in the league, and their new shed is incomplete I suspect we will be getting half the school end

We never played them in the cup two years ago. We played them twice in the league though and they gave us the whole end, at a time when they only gave everyone else including rangers half the stand. Neither club is daft enough to cut the away support.

Correct, it's a complete and utter arsey and downright ignorant point of view. What if you were skint or never got paid until today? You were unsure if you were working etc? List is endless.

Cash gates in the Dundee United end I see aswell now, this is a shambles. Guaranteed there'll be Hibs supporters in there which poses a far greater risk of bother than segregating the stand surely? Whoever has 'organised' this mess needs their jotters.
