Played well today and were the better team again, maybe next time.
That bauben and gomis just kicked their way through the game, not a lot of quality in their team just real good work effort.
Good to see Dylan back and if he was on at the start we would have done better, all lads in today done well

2 points lost today game could have been over in the first 15/20mins
Cummings slips it to Malonga 1 ,his goal 2 ,he does a better with his header 3 .
3-0 20mins game over, they never bothered or threatened Hibs anywhere on the park in the first 20 mins
Cummings booking for the celebration he then could have walked for kicking the ball away a bit later whats in the guys head ,f...n bubbles

Thought Hibs were the better side , knocked it about pretty good ,Lewis not being left footed stuck out more than a few times , free kicks from Allan not up to much and as for the rest great effort
Danny lots of positives from him today ,Walker going through Gray should have been a red , no sure about the pen shout ?
Could/should have been wrapped up early doors IMO.:brickwall

:agree: Yip, we need a couple of players who are more ruthless to turn these draws into wins. Handling, in particular, takes no responsibility, hides, and makes backwards passes all the time when he should be going forward and attacking the oppostion. Look at the four goals against Rangers - he stood still while just about everyone else was prepared to break forward (yet he is meant to be an attacking midfielder). And if he receives the ball, he gets rid of it as quickly as he can, often straight back to the player who passed to him.

If we could get someone in his position who wants to run at defences and shoot on site, that would certainly help.

It's called "keeping possession "of which Danny is an integral part. There's a theory going around that if you"keep possession"your opponents can't score and also run around like headless chickens-a la Rangers:greengrin

He gave them a sly wee sparky style "get it up ye" gesture

Nope, just the shhh thing. Ref presumably booked him for noising up the opposition fans. No idea what the ref at the Huns game was doing :greengrin

The trouble with the 3 pts for a win scenario is that 3 draws is the same as 1 win and 2 defeats. Draws are no good in the long run if they are followed by defeats. The Huns, QOTS, Falkirk and Raith all won today so good display as it was today it still was 2 pts lost against our nearest rivals.
As it was by them

It is poor to book after a goal celebration anyway think the refs need to lighten up,he should have done a sauzee and ran the pitch to us

Never ever fail at Tynie - top top class !

Mind Mickey needs to lay off the steak bakes - keef looked fit as a butchers dug, would have had him on the bench - was that Mark De Vries or the guy from Die Hard that eats twinkies and crashes the cop car into the Nakatomi car park ?

Absolutely.

A fit McGeough for Handling is an easy decision for Stubbs but DH will continue to develop and is turning into a decent player imo.

I'd like to see Handling get a shot up top whilst Malonga is away. Was he not a striker in his earlier days?

Handling is listed as a striker in the first team squad profile on the fishy website - and given boyle is on there as well then it cant be out of date....

Lewis isnt left footed?
Most of what you say is about right, imo. Lewis was a strange one, thought he should have taken a shot a couple of times but all he had to do with most of his crosses was to put less height on them or probably just skid them in low to cause more problems.

Not for me it wasn't. I hate players picking up needles bookings even when they have scored a goal. Fact is Cummings was lucky to stay on the pitch yesterday, had the ref not turned a blind eye we would have played the whole second half with ten men and I doubt we would have taken a point. Very lucky boy.

Same with Jamie Walker Tho. Cummings has done the same celebration twice against Rangers and not been booked so very inconsistent refereeing

He was already on a yellow at Ibrox when he did it. He really needs to be careful

I know hes not mate its the fact the momentum is lost when he has to drag it back to his right the quality of cross being delivered isnt up to much its
"I`ll put in it an hope" rather , than try to find someone ,but thats what we have to fill that position fine , you can only do what you can, it was just so many quick attacking moves were lost with the drag back to cross with his right or the left foot cross didnt do the move justice we had a right good go at them first half down the left it should have produced more thats all Im saying just my opinion likes

Its a stupid rule always has been ,and it depends on the ref celebrating the goal is usually fine, jersey of noising them up your asking for it and its a card

I remember years ago (2007 or 2008) Clayton Donaldson at Falkirk got booked early doors scored a goal maybe his first for Hibs they are all jumping over him take him over the line then that short bummed gargoyle heided insignifi**** tosser Willie "Im the daddy " Gollum sent him off ,totally unnecessary a jumped up little Hitler trying to make his way in Scottish football never been so anger at a referee, for heehaw Hibs we were down to 10 men Donaldson wondered like the rest of the punters in the crowd what he had been sent off for ,never ever forgiven him for that , to make it worse a few weeks later he does Celtic and Ranger Barry the crab scores runs round the back off the goal celebrating with about 5 other players not one booking ,tosser .

Yep. At 19 years old, scoring against the team that emptied me in a local derby ...Id also be thinking about not getting a booking ! Yeh right ! I reckon I might have been sent off at the goal !

Neither player deserved to be booked for their celebration. But once he'd booked Cummings he had to book Walker, classic example of a ref's lack of sympathy for the occasion making a rod for their own back.

I'd get sent off for my celebration if I ever scored against hearts as I'd have my top off giving them the girfuy all the way up there main stand whilst en route to the hibs end. Yes I've imagined the feeling numerous times

Cummings definitely deserved his, the GIRFUY gesture sealed that for him.

As my head was in my hands and I couldn't comment on that git Walker's:greengrin

Dunno if this has been mentioned previously throughout the thread, but was saying this to a colleague at work today - although you're never happy conceding goals in a derby (obviously), at least this season (Bauben's penalty aside) all Hearts' goals against us have been quality strikes.

We've lost so many cheap, ****ty goals against them over the years (including so many goalkeeping mistakes), at least they're now having to work hard and produce moments of real quality to score against us.

Although I agree to an extent, I think it also highlights our midfield have been too slow to get out to them and close down the space.

That is true, though someone, somewhere will always be at fault for a goal! Still rather concede those types though - scoring from outside the box is never easy.
