To enter into the spirit of T.T.D. I have just returned from Morrisons where they have a special offer on Tiger Beer..£9 for 12 bottles. They also have a good deal on wine so I got a half price white at £6. For munchies I got an almost out of date Pizza for £2 and a multi pack of hula hoops for £1. For dessert I got a bag of Haribos on offer at 50p. This brought my total spend for T.D.D. to £18.50....
Which is about £18.50 more than hearts will be spending on transfers tonight:monkey1:
The type of wheeling and dealing Harry red knapp would be proud of, well played mr Freddy

Cycled home from work in the pissing rain. Not pleasant, but the lower friction due to the wet conditions makes for a speedier ride. I reckon I was on world record pace once you allow for the brutal headwind.
Irn Bru opened; command centre established.
If this quote from Terry about no more business is true though, I predict tears before bedtime.

And away we go.
I've already been to the shops for tomorrow's provisions, and I can tell you that I have massive, massive news on that front.
As promised...
TDD regulars will recall how my local Asda's indefensible anti-Tunnock's policy almost derailed proceedings in January 2012. Those who lack that vintage can read the harrowing tale here: http://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?226986-The-Hibernian-F-C-Bi-Annual-Deadline-Day-(Anti)-Climax&p=3097383&viewfull=1#post3097383.
Well, thanks to that fearless campaigning journalism (which has come to be a .net hallmark), Asda Cambridge now carrys teacakes, caramel wafers (regular), caramel wafers (dark chocolate), caramel logs, and snowballs. Never satisfied, I've written to Andy Clarke (CEO and president) to ask him that having reversed the despicable policy, Asda go further and offer appropriate reparations. To wit: caramel wafers. Lots of caramel wafers. Will post the reply.

After applying for several jobs I am ready to delve into the only TDD thread worth being part of on TDD. So far my musings on my CV and covering letters have only been enough to get me to the second stage of BBC applications twice and once for the Liverpool Echo - this all changes today on an exciting TDD.
In terms of snacks I had Coco Pops with chocolate milk on them at 11 as I rose from my bed - I am a man that lives life in the fast lane. For lunch I consumed a pastrami, emmental cheese and pickle toastie and a white chocolate flavoured hot chocolate. I already have my dinner in my mind - hoisin duck with rice and accompanying vegetables. Having had a Chinese girlfriend I was taught some very good oriental recipes, perhaps this type of offering may part Natalie with Sam Matterface?
Post-dinner I am planning a gorge, a feast that Nade would be proud to call his breakfast; Nestle will be providing me with toffee penny desserts, they have also given me the pleasure of unveiling the green triangle flavoured desserts, both are Hibs class. I also have cinnamon whirls, 5 white chocolate chip cookies, a Bounty multipack - although I have donated one to my mother. Also lurking in my bag of goodies; Tyrell's crisps of which I have Cotswold Brie and Bacon and that is two bags of this glorious flavour and to help towards my five a-day I have two packets of Starburst. To wash it down I have Strawberry and Kiwi flavoured fizzy juice.
For the closing hours I have a special selection of beer and all are 500 ml bottles and from Stewart's Brewery - Ka Pai which is a Pacific IPA, First World Problems which is a Belgian styled IPA, Radical Road which is a classic triple-hopped pale ale and to round it off I have the oxymoronic Black IPA.

I'd say that in accordance with Le Chatelier's principle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Chatelier%27s_principle), Coco Pops might actually make chocolate milk less chocolatey.
With a few appropriate experiments you could determine an equilibrium constant.

Indeed I have, it's a great little bar and I go in a lot. I also go into the Ventoux in Tollcross which stocks German beer that gets delivered from microbreweries. I had a smoked beer once - fantastic.

It is a double-chocolate delight, I can confirm that the taste is immaculate and the sugar high gives you a kick up the erchie in the morning. I would also like to say I have tried this with strawberry and banana milk before too. The combination of winners.

My conquests on the scran front include a large ham and chicken pizza ordered from Dominos, a 1.25 litre bottle of Coke, a 6 pack of Petit Filous nicked from the 1 year-old neice, a packet of mini millionaire shortbreads and a four pack of snickers.
Eagerly awaiting the hordes of genetic deformities emerging from their lairs for their bi-annual sing-song behind the strange Sky men in suits. Tempest do a lot of great quality beers - Red Eye Flight is superb and only topped by their Long White Cloud. I also regularly visit Cork and Cask, I remember when it was some kind of card shop when I went to Gillespie's just round the corner. Right, off to swim team with Nipper 1. Back later with calmer bladder and angrier wife.

I was good pals with Stephen Stewart's brother and enjoy a bottle of Radical Road. But I digress...
Sitting down to enjoy TDD. Starting with tiger bead topped with primula cheese with ham washed down with a nice fair trade pinot grigio from the local Co-Op. Then Mrs T has us some dough balls before we enjoy a curry. Got 2 more bottles of wine and a bottle of Prosecco in case Terry unveils a 'Daffy'!! If not then 4 bottles f Bud 66. Plenty of cheese puffs for the home straight to midnight.

Live update:
What a glorious relief that was. Not a bad khasi at Glenogle baths either.
Looking at the other parents here I'm not sure many of them could spell football never mind take an interest in it. There's a distinct whiff of private school upper middle class. TDD would be a mystery to them - my best guess is they would think I'd mispronounced STD. So, mostly egg chasers and genetic Yams.
Weirdly - and in a throwback to devious TDDs - we bumped into one of the Guide leaders as we left the house to come here. Now I know she's no Brown Owl (but then who is? That woman's organisation is like an ultra OCD Rainman) but I still took it as a sign. A sort of 'Youth Movement leader at night, Terry Butcher's delight' kind of thing. So I'm going with this omen to mean Butcher to add another signing tonight. For those of you with an interest in that sort of thing, she managed to toss into the conversation, more or less apropos of nothing, that in her day job she is - get this - an archeologist. WTF was I supposed to say to that?
I'll say this about Glenogle pool though, the snacks are a bit 5hit. You couldn't drum up a furred artery here for love nor money. The coach is getting right on my thruppenies with his zealous use of the whistle too.
Anyone got a Natalie update?

Got some beer from the Co-op. It was good to see a couple of other deadline day adherents in there - the guy in front of me had that slightly unhinged look in his eye and a basket full of nothing but cider and nuts.
There was also a middle-aged woman buying sparkling wine, so don't be surprised to see Cambridge United announce an audacious transfer swoop. Could be Cambridge City, mind, although I think they play at a level of football where a new 'signing' is when someone in the crowd happens to have their boots with them.

I've done the chicken soup, I'm on the curry and there's a large home made meringue in the oven to follow. F*** me, I'll have to eat it all or she'll go mental about all the snacks earlier.

Had fresh fish bought from the fish market when up in Aberdeen earlier today. Went down great with those McCain gorgeous chips you get coated in beef dripping. 2ltr bottle of Irn Bru to follow. Also a tub of salt and vinegar Pringles and a tub of ready salted Pringles. A large bag of onion rings and a bumper packet of dairy milk caramels.

VG.
It's to avoid melting when the inner plastic bit is heat-sealed, so it's turned 'cake-side' to the end. Presumably it's logistically easier just to turn one round - it's the same in every packet.*
I'll send you a PM with your points.
*I did once find a packet where the last two were turned round, but I ascribe that to an uncharacteristic manufacturing error.

Righto so whats the current squad looking like at the moment.
GK: Williams, Murdoch
Def: Hanlon, Nelson, Forster, Boateng, Maybury, Mcgivern, Mcpake
Mid: Taiwo, Craig, Robertson, Tudor Jones, Zoubir, Harris, Stanton, Stevenson, Cairney
Att: Collins, Heff, Cummings, Haynes, Watmore
Anyone feel we need any more to come in? That squad should be enough till end of season. At a push bringing in a Left mid could help us though?
