Would certainly solve the issue of whether we should re-sign Zemmama or not!
I'd get back Zemmama also, you're right. It would get bums on seats.

I would love to see a fit Derek Riordan playing for Hibs again but I do not see it happening.

Is not wanting a 30 year old who has scored 1 goal in professional football since 2011 and failed to cut it at 3 clubs since leaving us the last time a good enough reason for you? By the way, you'd struggle to find a Hibs fan who is a 'Deek hater.' :aok:

Oh GTF. Do I really need to justify not wanting a player who's not played in about a year, was considered not good enough for BRISTOL ROVERS and who shows little ambition for actually playing football for a living anymore?
He might have a good footballing brain, but during his last spell at ER, even his decision making completed deserted him. Add that to his lack of pace and crap attitude.
Sorry I'm not clammering for his return!
Deeks time with Hibs and football in general has been and gone and by the sounds of his interview with the Scotman a couple of months ago, he seems more interested in improving his golf handicap.

Any fan that doesn't want to give a club legend of only 30 a chance is a hater in my book, or a close minded idiot. We all know this is more about a-hole Edinburgh doormen.

Was a fantastic player, now can't hit a barn door with a banjo.
Don't want to see a 100 goal scorer become a wage thief (which he would be) so it's a no from me.

Think there is only one poster on here clammering to get Deek back, and it ain't me, its an admin who has brought this thread back up, don't know what there motive is for doing it mind you, you would have to ask the admin what there motive is for doing this after bumping the last Riordan thread to the dug-out thread.

For once and for all, can all of the "Give Riordan One More Chance" brigade get a grip. He was good for us when he broke through. He was good when he returned. He scored some spectacular goals. However, he generally speaking, is far too inconsistent and his apparent attitude towards a professional sporting lifestyle leaves a lot to be desired, particularly when we ought to be focussing on bringing through talented youngsters.
We shouldn't have him back, it just would only end in disappointment for all concerned, the lad included.

If he was out on the lash and causing bother but still managed to play like he used to week in week out it would mean sweet FA to me. This is about not wanting a player that has failed to play regular football since leaving us in 2011, a player that has shown that he simply doesn't have it any more, whether that is down to lifestyle choices or not it's still the reality of the situation. You'd have to be a close minded idiot not to see that.

I note that Riordan is currently in training for the upcoming season. Is there word on whether he has had trials with any club, or is he working hard with his own fitness coach?
On the evidence of his last few stops I don't think he'll recapture the form that would make him good enough to still play for us, but good luck to him wherever he ends up.
No ,but thanks for the memories Deek
