Did we make any representations today to have that shambles abandoned?

Before I'm accused of sour grapes or "any excuse to bash the Board", we were lucky to only be two behind at half-time, and the formation, personnel and tactics in the first half were absolutely baffling, BUT...

Second half when a more conventional line-up with the substitutions on afforded us some width and penetration, we picked up and were getting a toe-hold in the game when the lights went out.

10 minutes and a few half-@rsed announcements later on Kilmarnock's PA (that you couldn't make out), we get restarted.

15 minutes later they go again, only time this the emergency lighting doesn't kick in and we're standing in complete darkness for 3-4 minutes rendering the ground dangerous, should have seen the Police match commander take the decision out of the ref and Kilmarnock's hands and arbitrarily cancel the game, IMO.

As proceedings had descended into farce at that point, with no guarantee that it wasn't going to happen again, does anyone know if we were pushing to have the game abandoned?

Or will the official Hibs position (if there was one) remain a well-guarded secret, and indeed will we even venture an opinion on it, or just take it lying down as usual?

We were a shambles of a team today but the floodlight failures and the ****ty artificial pitch were equally shambolic.

That buffoon Cowan could scarcely contain himself on BBC shortbread afterwards either, which didn't help to lighten the mood.

Mind you his shambles of a club has previous too in abandoning of matches, so maybe we shouldn't be surprised.

I'd just like our Club to publicly stick it up for itself once in a while...can you imagine the reaction of the Ugly sisters or that mob over the road if that had happened to them today?

Poor to happen twice, and actually pretty shambolic having a stadium in complete darkness. Not good from a health and safety perspective

Surprised it restarted the second time, but there must have been serious concerns from the police over the whole situation. Players required suitable warm up time for their own well being and I suppose at the end of it all they got the fixture fulfilled. A farcical episode nonetheless.

If that had been any of the O/F playing and losing, there is no doubt that that shambles would have been called off. The state of the pitch leaves a lot to be desired too. Killie definitely have a very unfair advantage with it. It's time the SFA got their act together and ban these type of surfaces!!!!!

It's a pretty farcical state of affairs. Especially given how much Killie like to publicly moan about everyone else these days.

In fairness, the Hibs team looked to be in a form of darkness for the full 90 minutes, particularly when trying to see the light over that team selection !

The police made a plea over the tannoy system for fans to stay in there seat while they go things sorted.

We were only in total darkness for barely a minute or so before safety/emergency lighting came on in the stands. Was a lot darker second time round as they went off with it being a little later, but if they wanted to evacuate the stadium safely then I didn’t see anything that would have prevented that happening.
