Guess : Australia 2, England 2!
Now that all the places have been taken up I Thought it would be better to start a new thread with this.
The Draft: The draft will be an offline draft made on this thread and i will input the players into the appropriate teams once the draft is complete. I think the draft will be the most...
whos looking forward to the season on both accounts then?? What are peoples tips on Play-off contenders and overall winners? Is?
I feel i dont know the teams very well but i will be biased go for The Packers making the superbowl
dont know about the NCAA though :hmmm:
Anyone watching this just now? The fact they are still playing in this depth of snow is just ridiculous :greengrin
Anyone else on here follow the NHL as closely as I do? If anyone does, what team do you's support/follow :)
I know a few on here have followed the career of Edinburgh middleweight, and good Hibby, Craig McEwan over the last few years.
Sadly after losing last night in New York Craig has decided to retire from boxing. Since moving back from LA a couple of years back he's been frustrated by the...
Edinburgh Capitals have won 5 of their last 7 matches and it seems today the Edinburgh Evening News are running some sort of voucher for Sundays match v Hull. £10 for adults or £20 for family (2+2).
Thought I'd put it out there if anyone's looking for a cheap bit of entertainment on Sunday...
Sometimes if you're lucky you can pick up a few bob, to cover your expenses you'll understand, if you do voluntary work. Mostly you'll just get that inward rosy glow for doing a good turn. Still the ethos of it is around amateur helping out.
Golf makes millions for everyone connected to the...
SKY running a programme on Earl Strickland before it starts. He's proper mad.
Started today, with Anderson squeaking through 6-5 against Stuart Kellet. He was 4-1 down so did well to come back and win, but he'll need to do a lot better if he's to go much further.
Scotland v holland starting now on sky sports 3. Winner qualifies for next years World Cup joining such nations as Hong Kong and Nepal.
I take it that Froch will batter him early doors?
Is it worth buying on Box Office?!
So the opening day has come and gone (I didn't bother starting this during Spring Training and the WBC as I've otherwise been busy) the past 2 days and the Summer sport is underway (if only the weather would now join it - looked positively freezing, particularly in Minnesota last night!). Houston...
Starts tomorrow, off to Cardiff early doors for England v Australia then Wales v Italy. All of the England games are on BBC1 but Premier Sports are covering every game. Going to New Zealand v Samoa on Sunday and Fiji vs Ireland on Monday plus a few more the following week, can't wait!
What time is the fight on saturday (could probably check that up myself) but also, where abouts in town would be a good place to watch it?? Is the pub that was Walkabout in the Omni Centre still shut?
Started today so the Gary Anderson watch is on again.
He's in a group with Wade, Wright and Harms and has got off to a good start with a 5-1 win and a 107 average. Wade beat Wright 5-2.
Some performance so far by NZ, 17-3 so far.
I have no interest in rugby, id go far as to say i dislike it, but have been roped into taking a rugby daft old mate from down south to see Scotland Australia. Any suggestions as to how to make this experience as painless as possible, in particular decent pubs near the stadium? Im only familiar...
Disappointing to hear this
There's nobody likes the game of golf more than me but something really needs to be done about the ridiculous slow pace of play on both the PGA and European tours.
TV coverage is almost at the stage where the sport is unwatchable because of the painful amount of time the players take before...
Anyone been watching this during the past few days?
I've not seen as much as I would have liked due to work but what I have seen has been pretty impressive.
No Andy Murray unfortunately, due to injury, but still a great line up.
In group A, Rafael Nadal has already sealed his place in the...
Anyone going along to this event this weekend? Top 16 players in the world over 3 days in Edinburgh. My partner is darts daft but has been in hospital most of the summer. She's out of hospital during the day and has to go back each night for more treatment. Today we went to the White Lady for...
Amazing standard/game so far.
NZ 38 AUS 26 after 55 mins. Great viewing!
Paul Butlin, what a mess compared to Joshua physique wise.
Getting BT sports installed tomorrow so looking forward to watching the fights this weekend, noticed Frank Mir is 10/1 to win by Knockout or TKO and 4/1 to win by submission. Anyone think this is worth a punt?
This tournament has really taken off. I've been looking at some of the attendance figures and they are quite impressive. For example there was an amazing 61,428 attended the Saracens v Toulouse game on Friday night. The games involving the Irish teams are always well attended.
Pro rugby has been...
Gary Anderson into the last 8 after a hard fought win against Wes Newton and will now play Phil Taylor tomorrow night.
I really don't like the double start format, but, there's been some great games so far with the promise of more to come.
Barney v MVG probably the highlight of tonight's 2nd...
A big crash involving Dario Franchitti at the end of the Houston street race tonight. Hope he's OK.
May 3rd in Las Vegas. To be officially announced in the next few days. Khan will pull out of his December fight v Devon Alexander to prepare.
Anyone else get tickets. I got tickets for the last night of athletics (relays, 1500m, triple jump).
I took a wee trip up to St Andrews today to watch the first round.
My verdict? - it was free admission and not even worth the money at that! :yawn2:
The course was deserted, devoid of atmosphere and the pace of play was ridiculously slow. I've never been a fan of the Pro/celebrity format...
My mate Carl is playing for England against Chinse Taipei in the semi final starting now on SS4, normally i'd want England to lose at everything, but Boycey is a good pal. :greengrin
The countdown is on for the season ahead and as always I can't wait to get started. Fees were paid last night (£60) for the season including all club competitions.
Checklist to be completed before green opens on 7th April (weather dependent)
Dust off bowls
Britain are just one win away in tomorrow's singles matches from a return to the World Group for the first time since 2008.
Yesterday, Andy Murray cruised to victory against 16 year old US Open Boys' champion, Borna Coric but in the second match Dan Evans lost heavily to Ivan Dodig to level the...
Undoubtedly the fight of the year is only 2 days away. Anyone watching?
By far and away the toughest fight Mayweather could take at the moment, far tougher than Pacquaio. Probably the toughest fight he has ever had imo. Floyd seems well aware of this as well as he has been hugely respectful...
The final Grand Slam of the season starts on Monday and for the first time ever, Andy Murray will be coming into a Major as the defending champion.
The draw was made today and his potential route to the final and to defending his title will be;
Round 1-Michael Llodra
Round 2-Victor Hanescu...
Anyone else going to this?
Looking forward to it, tough, tough fight for Ricky but if he wins then it opens up doors for him in the US and that means a shot at big money and a unification fight.
