Anyone wanting us to go back to Adidas need to look at Aberdeen's new home and away kits and think again.

Home is very nice but very uninspired

    Away is horrendous imo

I honestly think we view adidas kits through rose tinted specs due to the 1987-91 kits we had.
But that was 30 years ago and some of the kits they produce now are just template guff and dull as it gets. The odd belter like the new Arsenal kits aside which are very much bespoke, Adidas kits are pretty average. Umbro are making far better kits in comparison and I'd be happy if we sign with them next year.

I think some people are under the impression that if we were to have a kit made by Adidas it would be some sort of bespoke Adidas Originals number as opposed to the off the rack teamwear template we would actually get. Generally the same sort of Adidas fetishists who buy pretty much the exact same pair of Adidas trainers in multiple different colourways.

Their gold kit is very nice.
I wouldn’t be averse to a silver or gold away top, would make a nice change from the usual .

I'm not a fan of v-necks but I think those are both tidy kits. Would like to see us have a gold or silver away kit.

The off the rack template is more of an issue if you wear a bog standard colour way. Next to nobody wears our colour combination so we’d always be different, even if it was a template.

Macron have been average at best imo. Would love to get Adidas or UA next.

The main problem with our Macron kits isn't Macron, it's that our Chief Executive and Head of Sponsorship are responsible for determining the design of them.

There are enough examples available of teams with nice Macron kits to suggest we could get better kits if someone with a greater aptitude for it was responsible for their design.

Agreed. Only so much you can do with an all red kit and Adidas do it well for Aberdeen.

Silver with some form of green trim could look nice.

I’d only like to see that once we finally get purple and green stripes back but after that I’d quite like to see silver and green.

It's only a problem if you don't like the kits.

I think the strips have been excellent since the 2016 cup winning strip.

New Partick kits have just dropped for next season. The away tops caused a bit of a stir given the rainbow trimmings but personally can’t see anything wrong with it and looks more like a standard black n white kit than anything else

The Nike kits were templates, my post was referring solely to our Macron home kits which we have more input into the design process for. I actually have no real problem with the Macron strips, I’ve liked them enough to buy a couple, however I wouldn’t describe any of them as excellent designs or future classics.

So Partick Thistle jump on the LGBT bandwagon for their own commercial gain, quite clever really

How many extra kits will they sell because of the LGBT theme? My guess is not many.
