Shaw has that knack of being in the right place at the right time. It's what he then does that he needs to work on. Think this is the reason some want to see him go on loan for a season, the hope being that more 1st team football will allow him to hone the skills needed to progress.

Maybe because players don't always hit their peaks at the age of 19-20 and if they do it's because they're super talented. Kamberi came here as a 23 year old who had done very little in his career till now, Doidge has only really started to show his best form in the past 2 years, he's now 26.
Its normal to peak between 24 and 28 but depends on the individual. Peter Cormack was in the side at 17. John Collins similar but they were exceptional. If OS goes i would feel it was our failure not his when he goes to a bigger club that is.

We couldn’t break down Stirling Albion after they scored. The same Stirling Albion that in their next two games to part time sides lost 9-1 on Agg. That is cold hard facts, we drew with one of the *****st sides in Scotland m. Fire power means sod all if chances aren’t being created.
Different strategies and tactics comparing chalk with cheese. We beat Hearts 2 1 they beat Caley 4 0 so we should beat Caley 6 0 just it doesnt happen lime that. Differw t games different tactics. Besides in previous seasons weve lost in this cup to Stirling during the season but this is still pre season.

Looks like Stevie May is about to sign for St johnstone on a free. Goof bit of business for them. Still think there is a player in there.

Read this a few times and maybe I’ll need one of those experts on Football Manager 2019 or whatever to explain it to me. But to me the high press sounds like not falling back when you lose the ball and instead pressing your opponent for the ball high up the pitch in their half. So when we have been playing a team kind of camped on the edge of their own box without the ball, I’m at a loss how we press.

The problem there is breaking them down not pressing for what you mostly already have. Course I’m bound to be wrong as I had to work out that a DM was not a department manager and an AM was not an attempt to tell the time or the assistant coach. Worked it out though its defender or attacker missing in action.
Thanks Malcolm, I as trying to find a way of asking that question. I think your point is right, by the way.

Stirling albion had 48% possesion hibs 52%.

That stat puts your theory to the test about teams camped.hibs never dominated possesion in that game.and stirling if camped kept possesion comfortably and were the only team to score in open play.

If hibs were playing high press it never worked.and stirling if camped at the back kept possession from hibs.

If hibs had say 68% possession id agree with you.but thats not the case here.what is suggested is hibs if high pressing ,failed to win the ball back adequately.

It was a good goal, but the player had all the time to score due our poor defending for a period in the second half.Hibs were all at sea.

Yes.Tonight is the first game for the rest of our season.Lets do it in style.

Surely we're in for Gareth Bale? He's Welsh and Ron has the money. I don't think he'd be able to resist the Hecky hypnotism...emm i mean sales pitch.

Vela looks a similar style of player with hopefully a goal threat thrown in.

Circle Brugge with their average attendance of just over 5k. Sooner our league gets a proper tv deal the better.

I’m not sure he was as keen to come back as we thought. He spoke about missing family etc at the sponsors night at the end of last season. Not surprised to see him go back to Belgium.
