A better and more sucessful midfielder than some who are regarded as "premier league legends" despite never winning the premier league. He speaks his mind, whether you like him or not. That interview is quite good but it doesnt help when you have gary neville with his horrendously squeaky laugh every 2 minutes.
Out of interest who are the premier league legends that haven’t won the league you refer to? Gerrard is the obvious one but can’t think of any others.

Nowadays. Those guys back then were pretty hard to be fair. Duncan Ferguson and Jaap Stam spring to mind for instance.

Keane never went near big Dunc.
You sure ? DF was recently slating Gerard for only wanting to mix it with the smaller players unlike Keane , who would mix it with anyone.
    Sure he tweeted it recently.

Car crash of a manager with disastrous results.

    Emotionally unstable.

Knows bugger all about Scottish Football.

Those are the most positive aspects!

Keane tangled up with plenty of guys but he wouldn't dare go up against Ferguson who was a genuinely scary guy on the pitch and off it.

I do remember Stam and Ferguson clashing though. As well as Ferguson rag dolling Ince.

My one memory of Roy Keane playing for Celtic was that Mikey Stewart was all over him like a rash when he came to Easter Road with Celtic. It was, without doubt, the most energetic I had seen Stewart in a Hibs top. It made me think that Stewart was out to prove something against someone that he would have known from his Man United days. However, as soon as Keane left the field, it was back to the usual Stewart performance.

Had Stewart been that energetic in all of his games, then he wouldn't have finished his career at places like Easter Road and Tiny.

He is very talented at managing facial hair.....and that’s about it

    Yes. Even Hitler feared Ferguson.

Winning 7 premier league titles and the rest as captain of Man United is incredible. Especially with all the big names that came and went. You can bet your life he was the first name on Fergies team sheet for the vast majority of his time there. His hip was gone by the time he went to Celtic though. Keane is brilliant entertainment on the box but his biggest flaw is he doesn't seem to back down to anyone wheather he's right or wrong. Everything seems to have to be a battle.

Was watching his various movements at Forest not too long ago. He took some time in agreeing to join Martin O'Neil as his assistant and was then out of the door leaving, after an even shorter period at the City Ground than Martin without any reasonable explanation why.

I don't see a scintillating future career in management for Roy Keane and I think that will be recognised generally in English football. He has some excellent qualities but is sadly lacking in others.

As for hard, well yes, on the pitch most definitely, He was decked by Brian Clough in the Nottingham Forest dressing room by Brian Clough though, 'I only ever hit Roy Keane the once. He got up so I couldn't have hit him very hard'. :)

Never liked Keane but after his behaviour when walking out on his country at the 2002 WC that quickly changed to despising him - he's just an arrogant prick !

Keane mentioned the Clough incident recently indicating something along the lines of it made him respect Clough even more than he did.

It was outrageous, though that goes back to Keane's injury at Elland Road and Haaland's conduct. No excuse for Keane's response though.
Keane loves to play the victim on that one despite the fact that incident was also a result of his own shocking challenge! Haaland had a word while Keane was injured on the ground - "you tried to take me out, but look who got injured, tee-hee" probably, or words to that effect.

    Gary Speed.

Also although I don't think he was in the Premier League long enough to be considered a legend, Luka Modric is the only midfielder to have played in the Premier League to win the Ballon d'Or

Great player but an absolute dingle of a man, wouldn't want him anywhere near the club tbh

Na, there are still plenty of footballers who are absolute bellends any chance they get. Not many who try to end careers on purpose, though.

Are Michael Stewart and Roy Keane not pretty good friends? Pretty sure they socialised together when Keane was at Celtic.

Ended Haaland’s career because he can’t handle a little scrutiny. **** of the highest order.

Not at all. Vast majority of us enjoyed Cummings and his antics. Keane is just a ****bag.

Keane didn't end Haaland's career. I don't like him but that's a myth that seems to be accepted as fact now.

Keane tackled Haaland and connected with his right knee. Haaland played the rest of that match, played an international game midweek then played for Man City the following week. He retired at the end of the following season because of an ongoing problem with his left knee.

I think that's glorifying him abit, it was Jay Shields who marked him out the game that day. Not exactly a poster boy for the Hibs Golden Generation!
He mentioned Broony and KT specifically in his book, I think he said something about realising he had underestimated the quality of the league and it was that game that woke him up.

Here is the quote. Pretty complimentary to Hibs.

"We played Hibernian a few weeks later, away at Easter Road, and I remember feeling a bit caught out. I'd done my homework on Rangers but I didn't know much about Hibs. I remember thinking, '**** it, this is hard.' They had a couple of lads in the middle of the park. Kevin Thomson was one of them; he went on to Rangers and Middlesbrough. They were both excellent. We won, but it was a bit of a shock. I thought I should have been dominating these two, or any Hibs players. But my mind was lying, they had very good players."

The game Jay Sheilds done a number on Keane was 1-1 at Celtic Park. Fletch scores for us.
