Thousands of examples obviously, but going through some old stuff on spotify just now I came across these words of wisdom from Marc Bolan on Electric warrior. The song is "cosmic dancer"
"Is it wrong to understand the fear that dwells inside a man?
What's it like to be a loon?
I liken it to a balloon"
Awesome! 😂😂😂😂

*Immense... adj... utterly banal, meaningless, probably drug-addled, but ultimately full of heartbreaking nostalgia. (See also Girl I'm just a jeepster for your love.)

Didn't Bowie once admit that some of his lyrics were "written" by throwing a lot of words on cardboard up in the air and making them into a song in the order they landed?
Despite loving their work, I often have no idea what Radiohead are on about.
Procul Harem's A Whiter Shade of Pale is just nonsense.

Jon Anderson from Yes once said that his lyrics weren't meant to mean anything. He thought of the voice as another instrument, and he chose words that "fitted" the music, even although they were gibberish in themselves.
That makes sense IMO. It's all about the context, which is why I still love Bolan's nursery rhymes.
PS... "The general consensus is that “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” is a snapshot of a drunken sexual escapade gone awry. "

Honourable mention to Monty Python's I like Traffic Lights?
Probably no mind expanding drugs involved, and if it wasn't for a lack of airplay at the time could easily have became a classic.
Not many reach the end

What a life it would be
If you would come to mine for tea
I’ll pick you up at half past three
We’ll have lasagna.

Been around the world by Lisa Stansfield. The opening chorus says that she doesn't know why her "baby" left her. The rest of the song is about why her "baby " left.

Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go, there will be trouble
If I stay, it will be double
So come on let me know

I know a mouse, and he hasn't got a house.
I don't know why I call him Gerald.
He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse.

Victoria's secret, she couldn't let go
When death came a-calling
For Albert, her beau
All manner of Voodoo
Or Witchcraft she tried
To bring back her Albert
To be by her side
Now Albert is back
But Albert has changed!
Albert is hungry for commoner's brains!
You can always rely on The Men That Will Not Be Blamed for Nothing to come up with some cracking ridiculous nonsenseMadness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

I wrote this song two hours before we met, I didn’t know your name or what you looked like yet.
Pulp - something changed
A bit like Jarvis generally - Ridiculous/brilliant
