After today it has to be Doig. If he doesn't think Josh can handle all the games, get another left back in. Sadly Lewie is now well past it.

Stevenson’s ability to go forward has always been pathetic. Doig Atleast gets by a defender and puts a decent ball in

Time for Doig to play every week. Stevenson is finished, time to bow out.

Substituting your full back every week is genuinely pathetic management

Doig or Mackie, when he's fit

Doig for me. Gives us more attacking options.

I don't agree it's either one or the other (or the other) - it's a squad game and the question on a weekly basis is Doig or Stevenson or Mackie. All have had a roll to play this season already, but on today's showing Doig is the man in posession.

Stevenson was poor today - like others he looked leggy and the neatness usually characteristic of his play was largely absent - things looked marginally better down that side when Doig came on.

Stevenson should only play in games where we want to be more defensive. Doig brings so much more going forward.

He looks leggy and hasn’t played as nearly as much as some others in the team.

If you’re looking for 3rd or 4th stevenson isn’t the answer and never has been

I actually think that the usual ploy of introducing a youngster for 8/9 weeks before giving them a rest to reflect and consider their contribution has worked. Doig did well at Ibrox and again today. He should now be given the jersey as the first choice left back.

Out of all the decisions Ross has to make this is the second easiest one.

    Play Doig.

The easiest decision is never to play Gogic again.

I keep hearing about how better Stevenson defends that Doig, don’t really see it myself. What I do know is that Doig offers so much more threat further up the park, Stevenson offers zero threat.

Stevenson had a shocker today but he's far from finished. Only two/three weeks ago we had posts on here saying he was back to his best form.

Doig or Mackie. Saying that Lewis could probably go to Livi and be their best player.

Doig and Mackie will be slugging it out for the LB spot next season IMO.

It’s just a bit of a cycle with him now. Come in for Doig or Mackie and do well enough, then chuck in a game like today. Doig will be back in for a few weeks then the same thing will happen again.

Stevenson has had his time in our first team, it’s time for him to be moved out the way and let the younger two fight it out for the position. We can’t be benching them at the first sign of any trouble.

Yep. We’re not going to learn anything new playing Stevenson. I’d rather have off days that are part of Doig’s learning than off days because Stevenson is coming towards the end of his career.

Lewis had a stinker today but I do think LB is the least of our troubles and the position has generally been managed well by Ross.

We have an experienced, more defensive player who you would probably expect to play less from now. We have a very talented youngster who offers more going forward who you would expect to play more, if not every week. Chuck in Mackie who has also done well and we’re well covered there.

Stevenson looked strangely knackered today and didn’t look great at the first goal in particular.

I’m less concerned about LB, where I still think we’ve got 3 decent options than CM - where I’m convinced we’re needing 2 solid all round players to complement Scott Allan. The rest need binned or to accept bit part roles.

We could also do with finding a formation that gives the LB a fighting chance, maybe with someone playing in front of them.

Doig or Mackie give youth a chance, fed up watching LS cutting inside and losing the ball because he can't use his right foot.

Not sure I necessarily agree, but think we could possibly find a way to play both Doig & Mackie, particularly if Murphy is always going to be in and out. The driving run Doig made before sliding Gullah in is what we need more off and what central midfield should be watching and learning.

    Mackie👍🏻 doig on the bench
