There will be players who have been sold for way more than that who have won the square root of **** all! Fletcher has a winners medal, most professional footballers won't have. He has a very good goals to game ratio through his career and I think if he had gone to Everton for example I think he could have been a star. He always played in poor teams that were struggling
And score twice in the final to win it.

I always thought Fletcher was a cracking player, under-rated by many IMHO. It often wasn't until he was missing from the team that you saw just how big a difference he made.

Compare his medal haul to that of say, Kyle Lafferty. I’d argue Fletcher is the more talented player.

If he comes back up the road it will be to win trophies, and he will be backing himself to get in the team. He could have a big hand in helping them win 10, it’s a no brainer.

    Celtic not fussed about him

Sounds like he wants the move more than Celtic do if I’m honest.

Would have loved to have seen him do a Whittaker and sign for us after having made a fortune from the game. He is a very good player who would have improved us immensely and would have been a great coach to Nisbet and Gillan to learn from. Sadly doesn't look like it will happen though

I would be very surprised if he doesn’t sign for Celtic.

I am not privy to the deal but I understand RP has a percentage on all Fletcher’s moves or earnings, even should he move into acting in Hollywood.

Nonetheless, interesting point in his career. He can get regular football, or maybe less guaranteed football but on a bigger fee and maybe a medal or two more.

Always thought so too, only criticism from me he challenged for everything when maybe playing solo up top, going to ground against big galloot centre halves, & good few times picked up sair yin’s that visibly slowed him down & reduced any contribution late on/2nd half etc, when it woulda been better if he’d contributed the 90.

Final payday for Fletch shooting fish in a barrel.
    Why not?

He wants a two/three deal and why not for half the money he is being offered in England.

Probably ... but MON will have kept an eye on him over the years. He also knows he is not a total c**k like half the squad he inherited at Stoke who will now be told to **** off as he tries to build a team with a shot at getting back to the EPL.
