50 for berrington, he’s had a good season. This is a pretty tame effort overall though, maybe keen not to get rolled over after Friday…

    Pakistan win by 72 runs.

First semi Eng v NZ - Eng struggled a bit to 166. Finely poised?

  5. #214
Ooh, NZ's danger man Guptil out in the first over.

  6. #215
Williamson out as Woakes gets a wicket maiden - don't see many of those in t20 world cups.

  7. #216
Jimmy Neesham doing the biz for NZ, looks like they're going to get there ...

  8. #217
As I hit submit - he's out. Drama.

  9. #218
20 off the last 2 overs for NZ to win!

What a performance from Mitchell to win the game for NZ. They were pretty damned good, a well deserved win.

Excellent win for NZ. That 18th over was something else

Australia through as well in what appears to be, purely from reading reports, a very similar game!

Yes it was. Really good game and the Pakistan fans were very much a barometer of how the game was going so passionate when on top and nervous and gutted when not a bit like us in a Derby.

Amazing hitting by Wade at the end three 6s in a row off Pakistan best bowler Shaheen Afridi to win it. Seems to be an advantage batting second in knowing exactly what you have to get. Don't really watch ipl or domestic 20 over games but this tournament has been excellent.

Conway out of the final after breaking a bone in his hand when punching the bat after getting out.

There's also been a lot of chat about the effects of dew making it easier to bat 2nd in the night matches. Which is a bit pants for a world cup.

Let’s hope the final today is a cracker. I want to see New Zealand win but I ain’t making any predictions.

NZ probably need to get a move on now, plenty wickets in hand and with a bit of luck could set a big score.

Haha, was just thinking that! Throwing the bat a lot more now and getting the luck.

They’re just showing him getting dropped again, could turn out to be the biggest moment in the match.

Hazelweeod has made amends, Williamson goes for 85.

172-4… strikes me as a good score, but similar again to the number chased in both semi finals.

Australia need 173 to win. New Zealand will be happy with that I think, I fancy them to defend it.

I think they timed their change of gear perfectly there, a well disciplined innings superbly anchored by Williamson.

Australia look to have it it's going to take some spectacular bowling for New Zealand to get back in to this now.

Absolutely coasting. Some poor bowling from NZ too.

Well done Australia, I didn't see them winning this before it started.

Well done the Aussie team, but New Zealand were pretty poor at times with the ball. Sodhi went to pieces.
