    I weirdly had a fondness for the actor Paul Walker, even though I've never been a fan of performance cars or speed. Wasn't even that much of a fan of The Fast and the Furious franchise, but his accident/death happened at a memorable time in my own life, and he ended up being a 'victim' (as the passenger) - it stuck in my memories for several reasons.

    That's not to say that Jota wasn't a victim in this, and not to say that the role of speed makes it any less tragic, but it adds a level of culpability - if anything, that adds to how tragic it was given all of the circumstances around the accident (wedding/young family/successful athlete, etc). World at his feet, etc...
    Unless you're a racing driver I've never got why cars are made capable of travelling at crazily high speeds (literally double the speed limit).
