As I said yesterday, to suggest that the reason Arab states haven't lifted a finger to help Palestinians in this conflict is because of some noble solidarity around not weakening their claim to statehood is misguided. There's no grand alliance of sympathy there.

I don't know anything about the official nomination process but is a letter an unusual way of doing it? Or do those nominating normally travel to Oslo in person? Pakistan have also nominated him via letter.

Trump is hellbent on getting a Peace prize. Think's its like a golf trophy, hardly a ringing endorsement that he's got a nomination from a potential criminal.
