My wife couldn’t get hers to load, she cleared her cache on her iPad, and it loaded first time.
Thanks for that. That didn't work for me but a quick response from my email enquiry to the ticket office sorted it for me. Excellent service from them again.
(You can download your tickets directly from your ticketing account, I didn't know that function existed. )

Anybody else having problems downloading their tickets to their Apple wallet? I get a message saying to check that I'm using the latest email. I am.
I had to switch off my VPN to get it to work.

Did I read somewhere that the Rot Weiss Essen fans are congregating on the Grassmarket for the afternoon before the game, and are hoping Hibs fans will get involved too?

Grassmarket on Tuesday night, they are marching from the Tron/Hunter Square, so imagine the bars around there busy on match day.

I thought it was 1-1 but my memory isn't as sharp as it used to be. Although I do remember Bruce Rioch scoring for Derby. Or have I got that wrong too.🤔

I was only 5 in 1975 so have no recollection of the centenary year.

As we prepare to mark the occasion of the 150th anniversary with a friendly match against European opposition, gala dinners, commemorative strips, badge redesigns and gallery exhibition’s, how does it compare to what we did in 1975 for the centenary?

Other than a book (100 Years of Hibs), I can’t say I know of much else that happened 50 years ago to mark the centenary? I’m sure there would have been events and it would be interesting to learn more if anyone has some long memories!
Here are a few photos of some Pennants that were issued for the Centenary, the Derby County match (we lost 1-0) and the Centenary Rally.

Would be interested to see anything else that anyone else still has from back then.

I hope the Hunter Square "regulars" behave themselves. One chucked a can of DragonSoop at a bus the last time I went past. In fairness, it was almost empty (the can, not the bus).

We might actually see a police presence on the square for once.

Is the Fentayl epidemic causing bother in Edinburgh? Looked like the walking dead when I passed Hunter Square on Saturday.

I had a wee drink with some young Essen fans today, very enthusiastic bunch , had to explain a wee bit to them, that it’s not been taking to seriously by hibs fans, they all thought they would beat us because of our result against duisberg , one of their main rivals. 🤣

Just been to ticket office for a seat change (healthy queue for Europa Home fixture )

However, noticed on my way to catch a bus on London Rd that Albion Terrace has been dug up from one side to the other...so if 2000 RWE fans try to come over Bothwell Street bridge they are going to really hit a bottle neck on the ground side.

They'd likely be safer going along Albion Road.

My son introduced them to buckfast , which I hate, but they seem to unbelievably enjoy.😬

The general concensuis is they will beat us, amongst their fans.

I can’t think of any particular opposition that would be suitable but finding it had to have any particular interest in RWE. Being our first European opposition is a bit meh for me.

  29. #178
My take is that hibs will be gradually ramping things up towards European games, I got evens , but the last time we played them away, I think we won 4-0
I would be surprised if we didn’t try to win this game.
I actually thought hibs would be 1/3 or 1/4 on

I'm not too fussy about the opposition but I still can't get my head round having the game on a Wednesday night slap bang in the middle of the trades. I know the trades isn't what it was but passenger data shows it's still as busy as Edinburgh airport gets with people heading off abroad. Anecdotally I know at least half a dozen families not going because they are away.

A group of us were trying to get something organised but it just isn't happening. I'm going to the game and will grab a beer before but the general consensus is 'can't he arsed, I'm working until 5.30 and have to be up early the next day.' Darren McGregor will benefit as we are going to make a day of that instead; that would have seemed a far more logical date to have this game imo. Maybe with the women parading their league trophy before it and some kind of legends kickabout a la Gordon Hunter's testimonial to make it a real occasion. Get the punters in early and really make it a day of celebration. Tomorrow just feels likes it's going to be a total damp squib played in front of a sparse Hibs support. It's not captured the imagination of some and is badly planned for others.

The real young guys are playing Penicuik tonight, I think we will play a reasonable team tomorrow
