Those windows have killed more Russians than the entire Ukrainian Army.

The falling out of windows thing – is it known why they approach it like this, rather than attempting to bump folk off in a genuinely clandestine way?

Is the idea that each individual death has some level of deniability (as accident/suicide, rather than being gunned down in the street or whatever), but the constant repetition means that everyone knows the possible consequences of stepping out of line?

Nothing on any reputable sites or MSM. Wikipedia still has him as being alive - which is always a decent rule of thumb although obviously open to abuse.

It has a long tradition in Eastern Europe.

Trump has been great from that point of view. As he moves forward in crashing the global economy the price of oil will plummet.

A bit surprised more wasn't made of this on here.

An incredible feat, 18 months in the planning.

Quite incredible Ukraine still has the capabilities to do something like this after 3 years of war, in the early stages I thought Russia would waltz through.

    Amazing.

Russia says no planes were destroyed. Satellite imagery says dozens destroyed. What a weird country 😆

F16 managed to take down first Russian fighter plane last night. No doubt helped by their new Swedish AWAC.

Imagine if Ukraine was allowed to use f35s with full capabilities. Not sure why they didn't let them use modern technology to defeat Russia. I personally think they used Ukrainians to slowly destroy 60 years of Russian military stores

I expect they will get more desperate over the next few months. The Russian economy can’t support the war for another year so they need to win before it collapses.

I thought the mineral deal was the key to peace in the Ukraine.

I'm sure that's how Ronald McDonald portrayed it.

That’s been your consistent message for some time and supported with some informative posts. I hope you are right too.

But as I’ve said before we underestimate Russia at our peril. They are extremely versatile people, far less decadent that those of us over here in the Western hemisphere.

Hardship is woven through the Russian backstory.

I’m sure they are but when systems collapse there is little can be done to stop it. Their banking system is facing a massive liquidity problem and when it cracks there isn’t much can be done to stop it. You can’t just order the economy to stop collapsing.
I imagine they will try printing money but they already have massive inflation. That will take them to hyper inflation. It will be like 2008 for them but with the disadvantage that they have no way of borrowing money like we did. I think they have all their fingers and toes in the dyke just now but eventually it will break.
They are a docile population but when the system collapses they will eventually stand up for themselves. They did in 1917 when they were also fighting a war abroad. And when the money dried up the troops heading home and caused carnage. I would not be surprised to see the same again.
