    Well done Hibs

We all have moaned about things at Easter road over the years, but with getting players in early, finishing 3rd and now renaming the east stand as the pat Stanton stand, a lot of praise has to be given to all down at Easter road 👏👏👏💚💚

The way we are being run compared to a year ago is night and day. On the pitch, off the pitch, in every measurable manner we are doing things so much better.

    It’s great to see.

I think we’re now being run as a proper ‘sleeping giant’. Been so much chat about it before, but now everyone seems to realise the actual potential and we have great people in the right places to make it happen.

Haven't been this excited to be a Hibee for ****ing ages!

Ian Gordon deserves tons of praise as well. Since stepping away from the football side as much, he seems like a pretty good owner of a club.

The Gordon's have taken their slack when due but since bringing football people into the club they have excelled in the role of owners. Not to forget the don't half pump the money in when needed. Looking at some clubs situation makes me feel so grateful to have decent owners that seem to care.

It's as well run as we have been since that first summer when Ron Gordon took over and we made a handful of sensible signings (admittedly some were more successful than others) and we finished 3rd.

We spent the next few years playing fantasy football and making a series of erratic decisions. Signings that were baffling, contract extensions that were totally bizarre etc etc. It's nice to have a summer of relative stability where we are focusing on strengthening an already solid squad rather than totally rebuilding.

Malky Mackay coming in and Ian Gordon doing the right thing, listening and stepping back to let people do their job while he does his has all led us to a good place. Plenty credit is due for that and you see that when the club gets it right, the fans respond positively.

No ego is bigger than the club, and that wasn’t the case up until approx this winter just past.

It can’t have been easy for IG to step away from certain footballing things but he did because it was the right thing. Every player plays for the shirt and each other. You get the sense that every decision being made is for the good of the club, not the individual.

It’s great to see. It’s also a big part of why we have moved forward so quickly.

I’ve been their harshest critic at times, but you’re absolutely correct. Well done Ian Gordon, keep it up and keep ramming my criticism down my throat.

Always felt the Gordon’s were a good family who had Hibs best interests at heart , a family that now have a special bond with the club . We are lucky to have them as owners in truth..

The decisions made by the Gordons to appoint both Malky Mackay and David Gray were both bold and brave as they weren’t totally popular with some fans and some within the club so far proved to have been a success which they also deserve enormous credit for in sticking to their guns on …

Well done the Gordon’s and all at Hibs

It certainly feels like we are a club that has got its act together on and off the pitch at the moment, and I've no issue with giving Ian Gordon a load of credit for that.
I think there have been a few pivotal decisions that have got us here:
    - appointing a Sporting Director. Learning the lessons of the failed DoF hire and bringing in someone with a clear remit of accountability for the football operation was massive. Malky is doing a great job on the face of it, and while I still have concerns about how he was identified and recruited, it would be curiosity to not acknowledge the improvement on the pitch across the club.

    - listening to BKFC. Not so much in the appointment of Malky and SDG, decisions which have been vindicated, but in letting them in and getting real collaboration throughout the club.

-Fronting up and leading the club. It must have been really difficult to step into Ron's shoes and so it's perhaps understandable that Ian took time to be seen to be driving the club forward. He has done so, though - he's very clearly the guy setting the direction for the club and as things stand, he's leading it well.

What got my interest was Josh Mulligan saying he was so impressed after playing Hibs with the way we went about things off the park. We looked a level above.

    Good things are happening.

    Yes, it is.

I would like to see our losses from the last accounts noticeably improved going forward, or even a profit made. Know this is difficult in football but this would be a tangible measure of a well run club (as well as some success in the park).
