I've been chatting to the owner of the Fox & Hound pub, I'm staying in his Air B&B. He told me the ticket pick-up will be at his pub. He is going to try to get home end tickets but said it's also likely to sell out and it's pretty strict regarding away fans in the home end.
Do you know if the game will be shown on Danish TV? I’m booked up but didn’t get lucky today. Will probably still go, but if it’s not on TV it might make me reconsider…

Gutting to hear the folk that have arranged travel to then not get a ticket. This happened to us for the Luzern game but Luzern then opened another section for the Hibs fans which we luckily got and ended up in the original Hibs end anyway 😂
Hopefully this happens for this game 🤞
Hoping this happens. Not sure they’ll sell out.

I’d be surprised if the home end sold out. They have played much more attractive ties than us in recent years and not sold out.
I’d be surprised too. To be honest, he doesn’t sound too clued up on football. Hoping he’s got it wrong and either home end or more away end tickets become available.

    Tin hat on.

There was no issue today. People who didn’t get tickets weren’t quick enough.

If you refreshed at 2:59pm you’d have saw the match like everyone else (yes, it went up 1 minute early).

Within seconds, people put tickets in their baskets. It takes less than 10 seconds to select match > select ticket quantity > select ticket type and add to basket. Don’t pick from map, you’re losing time. Let them allocate you wherever. These will go almost instantly, within a minute. You may get lucky seeing the odd one released later as people don’t follow right through to purchasing for whatever reason.

There’s undoubtedly a skill around this. I do feel particularly sorry for people without digital literacy skills or people with disabilities who perhaps can’t use the technology effectively. We’re definitely not catering for the vulnerabilities people may have.

Hibs First was an option to pay a premium for guarantee, but now that is full too.

I’ve missed out many times before. There’s a bit of luck, but ultimately you need to be absolutely on the ball - logged in, refreshing, selecting tickets to basket quick.

Suspect it’ll be available on Hibs TV if nothing else. I don’t arrive til around 3pm on match day from Hamburg so hopefully others will have sorted something if there’s still ticketless fans.

And when we go to loyalty points, for games like this it would be the same people getting tickets all the time and the points for them increases. Our ticket system works for 95% of our away games, why change it? As an aside under all systems we have had ie loyalty points, away ST and Hibs first I have been fortunate enough to get tickets easily.
I don’t think it would be the same folk getting tickets all the time for a game like this. If you look at this one, there was a fair number of Hibs First members taking up the option. If loyalty points was in place the thresholds could be moved accordingly. I think there needs to be a bit of middle ground between going to every single game and being in the same boat as all other season ticket holders.

I refreshed at 2.59pm and the game wasn't up for me. It came up at 3pm for me. I'm also digitally literate and did all the things you said and none were coming up so I think it's more about luck than anything else. I got one ticket at 3.35 and one at 3.40 (both in the middle of a complex work meeting!!) Not enough though. A ballot would have been better than that process.

Must have been a matter of seconds difference. That’s where it’s partly lucky, as you can’t refresh to the second.

Was the passport talk a red herring to deter the transfer of Hibs first tickets between Hibs supporters?

From looking at the Midtjylland website I reckon it would be almost impossible to get a ticket in the home end. Looks like after season tickets you would have to sign up to a monthly paid subscription service (of which there are no spaces available) to get any chance of a ticket .

If there is a demand there will always be people selling tickets around the stadium.

Saw KP mention on the bounce that anyone who bought today will be contacted for their passport info.

Although they could all be digital in the home end, so that might throw a spanner in the works...

It would be a bit daft of someone if they were fortunate enough to secure a ticket only to have it cancelled because they wouldn’t give their passport details if requested.

Hibs have sold them the ticket at the end of the day. Getting hundreds of passport details from people in 2-3 weeks won’t be straightforward.

If that's what they need to do to get a ticket, then that's what they need to do, or no ticket!

The problem with Hibs First is it doesn’t naturally refresh the way a loyalty points scheme would. Once you are in you are in regardless of how many games you attend. With a loyalty scheme those actually going would be rewarded.
    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
    He'll die before he's sold.

Name, DOB, Passport Number...how hard can it be to do that for 1000 people?

Aye and they also advertised the conditions you had to meet to get the ticket.

It shouldn’t be anything particularly complicated to do.

    What a shambles.

All to stop tickets being transferred between fellow Hibs fans.

I think everyone in Hibs First would agree with this. It just what we’ve got just now, until a permanent solution is found. Difficulty going forward is clubs now sell direct to fans

I’m one of 3 Hibs First family members who can’t go to Denmark, so it allows 3 other season ticket holders to go.
