It doesn’t matter if they know the name of the river or the sea, anymore than it matters if they know the names of the hospitals that have been flattened.
We'll just have to disagree on that.

Yvette Cooper is one of the biggest hypocrites out. Remember her taking directaction dressing up as a suffragette and attending Parliament. Her weasel faced man Ed Balls hosts on GB news says it all

He's on Good Morning Britain rather than GB News.

Yeh, my initial take on them was that they were a kind of amplified version of Just Stop Oil when it came to stupidity, but the home secretary's proscription makes it pretty clear why barely any MPs quibbled about according them terrorist status.
I wonder when the terrorists group known as the IDF will be proscribed??

Oh wait, they are supported by Labour!!

    A direct quote from you
"I think their actions were moronic and dangerous and that a strong deterrent was required.*"

    You said it was dangerous!!
    No mention of paint there.

I get that you want to make it all about the paint but that's not the reason they've been proscribed.

The Nazis used to paint Jewish businesses and properties in the 1930s, the act itself may not be dangerous but the consequnces were. At the end of the day its criminal damage, is it terrorist behavior? I think when it's against RAF planes that potentially need to be used at short notice to defend the country then it perhaps crosses a line. But it's ridiculous they got so close in the first place, security seriously failing.
Comparing Palestine Action spray painting an RAF plane to the Nazis treatment of the Jews is bizarre, mate.

What actions were moronic and dangerous then?

They trespassed, and vandalised planes with paint.

Are you of the view that breaking into an RAF base and vandalising military aircraft is no biggie?

If this had been a one-off action and they'd been proscribed a terrorist organisation solely because of it I might have some sympathy for them, but having read the proscription I now agree with the decision - as did about 95% of the MPs who voted.

What do they expect to achieve with this? Do they think Netanyahu is sitting in the war room saying **** lads they've vandalised some RAF planes better call the troops back . All they've achieved is ruining their own lives and most likely getting a long stretch in the big house

You don’t think that bringing attention to Starmers support for the genocide has any benefits?

I still can't get an answer to what they did which was dangerous when they trespassed and sprayed paint? Really can't be that difficult!

Surely walking into a place that has Planes sat about which means they are coming and going is dangerous for both trespassers and the people working there?

They don't need to bring attention to it , it's a pretty well known fact . He's not exactly shy about it . I don't think getting banged up in jail has any benefits , unless you enjoy the prison life it's probably not a great idea

Your last bit about security seriously failing, I have watched plenty videos of auditors turning up at RAF bases and military bases and the military police are on to them with within minutes of them trying to film anything, so I’m really surprised that this group of protesters were not spotted, the fences have sensors on them and there is cctv everywhere but on this occasion it seems nobody was watching the security screens and the alarms didn’t go off when the fence was cut which is a major breach that we should be asking questions also about security at the base, did they fall asleep or did they let them do it and pounce on them once the damage was done.

Not an aviation expert but I wouldn't want to fly in an engine that had been spray painted. Fwiw they shouldn't be proscribed as terrorists
Isn’t one of the planes back in action already.

At night when nothing was moving?

Maybe a better question is, which is more dangerous, trespass and paint or trying to get food in Gaza?

In Scotland we should be more concerned about the Union Bears terrorising neighbourhoods across Scotland right now.

You think they'd need to have blown it up to merit sanctions?

Not if what your zionist pals are doing to the Palestinian people is anything to go by!! They would probably be given medals!

Yes after an engine change, its obviously dangerous to fly a plane with paint inside the engine

We’ve had a pretty vigorous but IMO respectable debate on here, even where opinions are a bit polarised and some of the discussion has been abrasive. We politically are on the same side in that sense, but this is a bit unnecessary IMO…
