Brilliant insight for fans looking to see what managers add on the training field. I loved the way he explained how the drill linked to the game and how everything is positive. Nice wee word with Lewis Miller too. Brilliant stuff but needs to work on his use of the whistle.

His instructions and expectations are so clear, he’s an excellent communicator.

Its a brilliant watch! Players engaged in what he is asking them to do. Always encouraging. Really liked his brief chat with Miller at the end giving feedback. Such positivity

Just the twice he needed to tell Rocky to be careful with the tackling. The big man doesn’t do training games.
Big thing I see when I watch Gray is that he doesn’t everything. The coaching, the managing, the motivating, the lot.

God knows how pro players understand/remember those instructions. I was confused after about 30 seconds. I'd be running about aimlessly.

I sat just behind the dugout at the Clydebank game lat year and Gray never stopped giving instructions the whole time.
He was generally pretty positive although when we started to get a bit sloppy in possession for a spell he let them know about it. His frustrated 'just give the ball to Dylan ****ing Levitt' after another wayward pass was a particular highlight.
That's a great video and highlights how much pro footballers have to take in. Our turnaround in form last year wasn't luck or fate. It was hours of drilling stuff into players until they understood it and could make it look simple.Last edited by Pretty Boy; Yesterday at 04:20 PM.

Great wee insight there. Can see how much the players respect him. That is one together group. We have a good one on our hands here 👍🏼

Genuinely not an attempt to use a positive thread to bash anyone, but things like this absolutely hammer home the differences between the likes of Lee Johnson and SDG.
From incoherent, middle management, LinkedIn waffle - to clear, informative, decisive coaching. Every time I hear SDG speak, I want to listen. And I’m certain that the players feel similarly.
Outstanding leader, delighted he’s ours.

It's a great watch. I'm too stupid to even begin to understand the instructions but you can see how personable Gray is with the players while still commanding respect.

Instructions are ****ing baffling to me - they say footballers are thick as well.
