No downside to this for minor shareholders but the largest shareholders don't lose anything in percentage terms of their ownership
    Also not received the letter

Wonder what the HSL view is given their substantial holding? The refreshed relationship between the Club and HSL may now look like convenient timing? Also the fact this lands quietly after a run of positive news. Cynical I know :D
IG said the loans would be cleared in the summer at the AGM.

I think Bydand are converting a loan into shares via share issue while additional shares are also being created and issued to the other parties in exchange for cash.
So is there more than £3m being issued? Or is the £3m made up of £x of Bydand loan conversion and the remainder new investment from The other groups?

  5. #34
If the original post is correct it looks as if the Gordon family are writing off a £3million loan but instead of taking all the new shares are distributing them so that the main shareholders percentage remains the same.No new money but another debt disappears.

The update is intentionally vague but Bydand getting c. 37m shares and there’s £3m of loans getting converted. Assuming Bydand aren’t sticking any additional cash in and the other c. 20m shares that are being created and issued to the other parties in exchange for cash at the same value it would suggest an extra £1.6m cash ploughed in plus the Loan being converted ie. Hibs balance sheet £4.6m healthier

    Fag packet at best though

There’s nothing at all to indicate a falling out. There’s nothing untoward with this and I suspect HSL are contributing so it’s a good news story for all involved.

HSL are contributing to the club, and seem to have a good relationship now with the Gordon family. All good.

This, though, seems like a debt for equity swap so the club don't have to pay back a loan from our owners (Jambos, take note). Shares go to BK and Leslie Robb too to keep their stake as is.

I don't know what HSL's stake currently is, tbf.

I believe they’re all putting money in. Is not just the debt for equity.

I'm reading it as only the Black Knights, HSL and Robb are putting fresh cash in whereas the Gordons are swapping their loan for shares.

    Still good news though.

Any other shareholder still not received a letter about this?

I came home yesterday to a Hibs branded envelope and assumed it was that but it was my physical ST card

I’ve not had the letter, not received my ST and not even got a badge to show for it. Having said that, it seems to me there is time yet and I imagine they’ll arrive before the weekend. Hibs office staff must have a lot of stamps and envelopes to lick. They can’t all go out at once I imagine.

My letter has just come through the letter box - already opened by someone. Definitely the postman that’s delivered it as well rather than a neighbour who has been delivered it by accident and opened it.

The curse of the jambo postman. It's always a risk.

A bit concerning that. Needs reported to the PO.
