I think there's a fair chance they won't be needed.
When the away end was mentioned previously as holding 836, I thought that would just about do us. I was thinking we might take 700-800, something like that. Hard to make any kind of educated guess on it right enough. The allocation we have will definitely do.

Hope I'm wrong, but the more I think about it the more I think the ticket collection in Herning sounds like a bit of a nightmare.

1000 people having to get a ticket from a random location prob means standing in a queue for ages, carrying passport out and about after a few beers, potentially disruption to the pre match build up on the Thursday (which should be one of the best bits about the trip), and also a headache for people arriving later into Herning on the day of the game.

Wonder if it is a Hibs decision (like SFA have dictated for some Scotland away games) or whether its a Midtjylland/Danish mandate.

I was hearing tonight that the allocation was made up of the away end, about 800 and the rest being hospitality seats.
I’m not sure that the distribution of tickets will be as strict as is being made out by the club,

I think it’s down to the Danes, given the information is noted as being passed to them.

As long as folk apply a bit common sense and they make tickets available throughout the course of the day, there shouldn’t be any real issue.

Home club need to make a certain amount available (might be up to 200) for sponsors, comps etc.

If that is what is additional and it means they’re not coming out of the actual away allocation then that still works out all right.

    No inside info 🤔

It would make sense to be fair. Either way, it’s a decent outcome in a stadium that size. The allocation will be enough.

TBF, tickets only went on sale to Season Ticket holders for the Luzern away game. When we got the extra 200 that was the case too, so they never went on general sale. I know a few going over who don't have season tickets this year, but with the passport rule that could be a major problem for some.
That would certainly be crap if there's not a full general sale and it doesn't sell out when there is still demand.

No issue with ST getting priority, but would appreciate if recent day trippers like myself can at least pick up the scraps.

It’s not, it’s the away end and then an extra section if we need it.

Agree about the second part though. My ticket confirmation only has my name on it not the second persons, so I’ll be responsible for picking up our tickets.

I'm the same, not a ST holder, not worth it for me as I live abroad. Already booked flights etc. Not worried about picking up a loose ticket in Denmark.

Glad the tickets are being allocated this way as it will stop the ones that only turn up for big games getting tickets
I hope everyone that wants to go, gets to go.

Def would hope there is some pragmatism around this. Plenty of people would have spent a lot booking up not expecting the passport rule, as it has always been the way that tickets will be passed amongst groups of Hibs fans. There were a few I met in Luzern who weren't season ticket holders. But they were good Hibbys with long histories of supporting the club. If loyalty points were in place they would have had decent points numbers - instead they clearly managed to get tickets from good Hibby mates using season ticket refs. And everyone got a ticket who wanted one so they weren't denying any other Hibs fan a ticket.

The flip side of that is that there will have been some at Villa away who maybe jumped ahead of others unfairly.

There's a question around where passport ID would be needed- ie pick up only, or also at stadium entry? Also can lead member of group pick up tickets with one set of ID or does it have to be every single person. SFA does both depending on fixture.

For those still interested in going there were flights via Vienna (outbound) and Gdansk(inbound) to Copenhagen for £273 on skyscanner.

Decent times and options for trains to Herning.

Could Power clarify how this is going to work and if there will be a general sale?

I have no issue being last in the queue. I've had a ST on and off over the years for a variety of reasons but I don't now so not expecting to be bumping any ST holder out of a ticket.

If there are tickets left though, I'd like the opportunity to buy one rather than see Hibs hand them back while a few of us wander round Herning looking for a pub showing the game.

I doubt he will know if there is going to be a general sale. He won't know how many season ticket holders are going to purchase.

I too was thinking about this as hibs made it clear in the comms yesterday that every individual would need to show their passport to collect their ticket in Herning.

I also bought two tickets yesterday and like you, the email confirmation has both tickets noted as under my client reference. However I 100% allocated the 2nd ticket to my mate under his client reference and input his passport details. I actually took a screenshot on my phone of the page you get on the website following the processing of the payment and it shows one ticket in my name and the other in his. So its unclear why the subsequent email confirmation I got would come through showing both tickets under my client ref

Normally I would collect both tickets in the one envelope for any game in this country without having to confirm my mates address as its done under one financial transaction. Will be interesting to see what happens across there and if we both have to be present to collect the tickets (guidance suggests this will be necessary) or if they will give them both to me whilst he gets the beers in

The passport details were taken separately when purchasing, I’m guessing so they can be passed securely as it was stated they’d be passed to Midtjylland.

I don’t think there is too much to think about here. They’ve said you need to turn up and show your passport to get your ticket. If it’s a group purchase, turn up together and I’m sure it’ll be dealt with.

The hospitality, guests etc are already allocated space in the main stand. We have a section of the West set aside for the same thing when we play at home.

It will be fine. They will have a list of names and the passports will just get a cursory look. It won’t take long at all.

Midtjylland won their first game of the season on Friday, 2-0 friendly home win v Silkeborg - who are playing in the conference league qualifiers.

They are due to play Dynamo Kyiv, Slovan Bratislava and first game of the season at home vs Odense before playing us.

Most likely the passport requirement is to serve as a deterrent at the point of purchase to prevent sharing of client refs, rather than create unnecessary hassle in Herning. We've had similar requirements in Tripolis and Andorra, although I can't remember the exact rules before collection, it was seamless & more common sense from Tracey Smith in Greece and Kieran P in Andorra, rather than a thorough inspection of all passports & cross-reference to the purchase info etc. People worrying about logistics of this, as you say, local collection is how most big European clubs & international teams operate, so I'd imagine it will be pretty straight forward.

I didn't think those tickets were bought in advance, didn't we just queue up at their ticket office the afternoon of the game and hand over cash? I might have misremembered it.

My memory wasn't clear on this, but took a look back and you are right. Purchase was made in Tripolis with requirements to show passports. So maybe not the same as Denmark, but even still I can't remember, in the group of us that went over, if there was anything more than a very quick glance at passports, at best. Andorra for sure we purchased in advance, and collected with ID.

Yes. In torrential rain. We did have to show passports but they were barely looked at.

I vaguely remember bouncing off the Hibs net bus and walking in to the square with my soaked top swinging around my head, which dried out quickly in the scorching sun that came after.

    What a time.

There's a cracking video still on YouTube of the day that Hibs released, worth a look back before going back for more in Denmark.

Roughly how many did we take to Lucerne? Would expect at least as many to want to go on this trip.
