Wont be back full training until late August, probably after the September international break before he’s back in contention for selection. All the above is assuming no further set backs.
    Cheers

I wonder if Rudi is a similar timeline then with his being a groin injury?

He has been going to my gym for the last 3ish months. I’ve not really seen what he’s doing after the op a few weeks ago, but prior to that, all I’ve seen him doing is stretching and some fairly tentative supported squats using bands, as well as some weights stuff. I’m no physio, and I’ve no idea what else he’s doing, but he looks a good bit away from proper training.

JN will still have huge role to play off the pitch. We have good leaders on the pitch even without Joe and we now have no shortage of midfielders too. His contribution off the pitch was massive last season and I'm sure he'll do all he can again. I look forward to seeing him back in contention for selection but he shouldn't try to return sooner than his body will permit.
This makes me think of Roy Keane's views on Jordan Henderson.

Let's keep to discussing Joe Newell and not post replies to points made a week ago.

Disappointing that Newell won't be back until at least September. We need him competing for a place in the side.

He will be like a new signing when he gets back it's been that long since he was in the first team.

Still think back to how good he was that night against Luzern at home. A man possessed. Would love to see Joe do that more consistently this season. Top player and top captain. Love the guy 👍🏼
