Happy with this. He played a massive part is hearts easily finishing 3rd in 23/24, and whilst I don’t think it’s likely he would have replicated that next year, I’m glad the possibility is removed.

It’s been more pleasing that the noise coming from hearts fans just a few days ago was that the deal was done and they all seemed happy about it :)

Would find it funny if we offered him a contract just to see the reaction on
    kickback.
Would be great if we did that the seethe would be off the scale he would be one of the two players up front we need. Don't think The Rangers will be going for him
    WBA apparently interested.

That McKinlay often gaslights the fans but that bit "from a source close to Shankland" (his agent no doubt) about McKinlay not sharing Shankland's ambition is an awful thing to say. Was it not McKinlay that offered Shankland a lot more before and he turned it down. Hearts should be hitting back saying as much, that they gave him a brilliant offer 12 months ago but a source close to Shankland recommended he turn it down, thereby not sharing their ambition and cost him a bucketloat of cash.

Did someone not say on here his agent was a bit of an a-hole and he's also the agent for, can't remember who, Triantis?

Agent seems like a tool. Sure someone said he was Josh Mulligan’s agent. At least we have 4 years until tries any pish 😂

Hilarious - their club captain has just stiffed them entirely.

I can see him ending up at Aberdeen who will be looking to replace Nisbet. Wouldn’t say no to him coming to Hibs either…

Shankland’s ambitions were top six and a decent run in the cup, while McKinlay was trying to tell them they’d be competing in the next World Club Cup because Tony Bloom has a spreadsheet.

Shankland will still end up at Hearts is how I still see it.

Unless he has genuine other options (which I don’t think he has) he will be hanging around for weeks and fan pressure will mean they will buckle.

They will then regret it by about October….

Can't for the life of me find where in Spain they've come, other than 'Spanish East Coast', so probably La Manga. I live up the road a bit, and the temp here as I write is 35C (Real Feel 41C), and there's no indication it's going to let up anytime soon. McInnes says "Double and triple training sessions"... I'm having trouble staying out on the terrace for 20 mins 🥵, and that's with a huge f off industrial fan. Mental time to be coming here... but I'm sure the 'analytics' thought it would be a good idea
Yup, I am an hour South of La Manga and it's 35 again today and getting hotter for thenext couple of days. I am firmly strapped to an air con unit indoors as I nearly melted taking the bins out. I would not want to be doing anything more strenuous than wander down to a bar. Absolute madness trying to train in weather like this.

I suppose I should end with a traditional F*** the Hertz!

Decision by Hibs to go the Netherlands is looking to be a good one. Still very warm but well within workable temperatures as opposed to 35 degrees which is just silly.

A 28 man travelling squad of bloat and no recognised goal scorer. They need to further bloat the squad with a speedy spend of Uncle Tony’s Ł10m of free money. Bloom is about to find out just how fast his new business partners can fire through Ł10m of someone else’s money.

I would love to see butthead shankheid sign on with them. I bet there is a small section of their support happy to see the back of him. He would be one of their highest earners and it was evident to see in last season that he is past it. He wouldn't be hitting 30 goals in a season again.

Perhaps she will spend her free time campaigning for league reconstruction which she told everyone she was so passionate about (for about 3 months).

Oh no! That will be a sad day for Hibernian FC and its fans. However, I am sure they will find another blustering clueless nobody to replace her. Baron Foulkes of Cumnock would be my preferred candidate.

How hard is it find a chair? I guess they didn't order the seats for the mega stand so maybe they don't have any furniture anyway?

And who is the big most yam looking Rover driver I have ever seen to her left in the photo?

I am just reading that its over 40 degrees C in the part of Spain they have gone to for their summe camp, as southern Europe battles extreme weather. No wonder Shankland voted with his feet and ducked out…

But substantially more pleasant than doing shuttle runs and el rondos in temperatures that it is actually illegal to sit in an office in! Putting your players in danger, Its what big clubs do…

We told her to Beware of AI

She gets a Commodore 64 sent up from Brighton for the summer holidays and the first thing it does is replace her, and alienate the captain

Perhaps a metaphor for mid 21st century life...

Guessing the megastand project is finally completed and the last penny has been squeezed out of it.

A seat on the BBC Heartsound maroon couch with Potter, Mikey & Biscuits as her couch buddies beckons.

I can confirm that! Not the weather for maroon cardigans. It is oppressive and little breeze. Shankenstein would certainly shed a few pounds lumering around here.

Where they can laugh off the litany of failed managerial appointments as 'yesterday's news' and forgetting to order the seats for the stand as 'the way big clubs operate'.

Probably already been posted, but Sheridan points out some flaws in the latest masterplan (why they were asking him about I'm unclear):

Cillian Sheridan questions 'excitement' around Hearts deal

Well they did a special 7 part series gushing over a money-launderer who owned them, so not outwith the bounds of possibility.
