Same, thought he played well every time he was called upon last season, can see him wanting a move for more game time.

Ismael started 25 times for Moreirense last season, they finished 10th in the league, so a similar standard to us you'd imagine. Market value of 1.5mil Euros according to Transfermarkt.

It’s not unique to us but I always feel the transfer window never really does us any favours, especially when it comes to early rounds of European competitions. We strive all season to get into Europe but the window means you haven’t got your squad fully assembled by the time the games start.

It continually bugs me.

The sorts of teams that Scottish teams have by about November would have punched their weight much better over the years than the half fit, half assembled dross that we regularly have to go into battle with before anybody's really all that arsed about getting back into the football again.

We're actually in better shape this year than we've been in most years because we're going into the season with the bones of a decent squad and could probably, fitness depending, put out a respectable team with what we've already got.

Hugely annoying though.

You’re right. Always comes at the worst time.

I do feel like we could’ve hit the ground running a bit more with regards to incomings. Everything with us seems pretty slow in the window.
