Netanyahu may well get his arse handed to him when the Israelis go to the polls (and while the Bennett Bloc are hardly progressive they don't seem totally ****ing insane so that's an improvement of sorts).
If we can avoid apocalypse in the coming days and weeks things could look a little bit different in the not too distant future.
(Insert optimist bordering on criminal naivety smilie here).

I thought drones were pilotless? How can they be suicide drones??There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Cheap Iranian drones are costing them a fortune to fire down - and the Americans may not have the appetite to keep supplying them with air defence materials (materials that the Ukrainians are desperately missing out on having at their disposal).
There's also been some modern Chinese kit that has been put through the dome and caused a fair bit of damage.
I suspect that this may be behind Trump's keenness to get involved - to warn the Iranians off, to get them to back down. It certainly wasn't anything to do with nuclear weapons.

I am guessing behind the scenes Iran and the US are talking and letting each other know what they are doing. We will do X and we know you will want to respond, Iran says yes and we are going to do Y. Trump just thanked Iran for letting them know what their response was going to be. I assume in Iran it's reported differently and played up much more as a revenge attack etc.

Maybe if journalists were allowed to enter then it would paint a better picture of whats happening - so why would Israel not want that?"...when Hibs won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

Hamas attack on Israel

Warning shots were fired as they believed those starving people looking for food posed a threat. What do they actually expect people are desperate and are trying to survive and save their families from starving to death.
Why are the UN not involved in this?
Breaking News just in - sirens sounding in parts of Israeli as reports of Iranian missle launch.Last edited by Aldo; 24-06-2025 at 07:44 AM.

Wouldn’t be the slightest bit surprised if Israel are falsely claiming this so they can continue to attack whilst blaming it on Iran for ‘breaking’ the ceasefire.

Again not sure if this damage etc has been caused by previous strike prior to ceasefire agreement.
As you’ve said it wouldn’t take much for Israeli to get right back at it!

As if by magic, "Terhan will shake", says Israeli finance minister - why the **** he needs to comment I don't know?"...when Hibs won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

I'm well aware that Israel doesn't allow foreign journalists into the war zone, which makes verification of Hamas claims/Israeli counter claims extremely difficult, but while there seems to be a lot of anti-BBC sentiment on this forum I think their 'Verify' team does a thorough job of trying to get to the heart of the matter. As far as I'm aware every allegation of Israeli targeting of civilians queuing for food has been investigated and if this alleged incident took place yesterday as seems to be the claim I'm surprised they haven't covered it.
On the flip side, we've also seen footage allegedly showing Palestinians shooting civilians queuing for food which turned out to be footage from an entirely separate incident, possibly not even in Gaza.
