Yes, thought I had seen him.

I was wondering, would Youan be a good fit for the No. 10 role occupying the space between the midfield and the two strikers.

    Just an idea.
That’s where McGrath will play I imagine

I would be all for putting the money gained from the Dylan Vente deal straight into contracts for these two. They are both pivotal players for me.
It will take all of that money just to get Triantis

Technically a Toulouse player, but only 9 career appearances. Largely Dutch, Polish & Lithuanian leagues.

If we could get Triantis back a midfield of Triantis , Manneh and McGrath would be IMO the best midfield (not including the OF ) in Scotland .

Bold statement given McGrath has been injured a lot the past year and Manneh has only started one game in the Premiership

I guess ultimately Vente was always here in vain.

I rate McGrath highly , think he’s a quality player. Manneh even though we haven’t seen much of him I like what I did see . Gray seems to think with a good pre-season we will see the best of him , also have Joe coming back too so competition for places is good . We might not get Triantis back though if we do it would be tough as it stands to pick a better midfield from the other teams .

Sorry it was tongue in cheek 😁, bizarrely he was linked with Celtic earlier in his career.

Yip he managed 1820 minutes for Aberdeen last season and tbh I didn't expect he'd play for Aberdeen again after his injury. I thought he'd have a pre-season with us and be ready to go. The fact he played a decent amount of minutes towards the end of the season is a bonus.

Manneh has a lot to do to get in ahead of Levitt imo.

From about February onwards I thought he was brilliant.

Levitt on the form he showed in 2025 is a first pick in the middle of the park.

I hope Manneh turns out to be brilliant and totally undroppable. Just now he’s probably behind Levitt and Newell if Triantis signs again.

    Fabrizio Romano

🚨⚪️🟢 Benjamin Nygren to Celtic, here we go! Deal done with Nordsjælland for €1.5m transfer fee.

Contract until June 2029 plus option until 2030.

When he was at Dundee Utd there was plenty of debating on their forum about what was his actual best position in midfield in was he better playing deeper like a DM or further forward, something I still not sure about though when mentioning our midfield I left him out as I had him as playing deeper which is were I’d have Triantis and then a CM in Manneh with McGrath as the AM . It will be interesting to see what happens with Levitt as he’s approaching the last year of his contract too .

I think we can sometimes get bogged down with if a player is a DM, box to box, attacking midfielder etc.

For me it was the balance/shape we played that benefitted Levitt. Him and Triantis could go and get on it, they could also drift further forward knowing we have 3 defenders behind them.

I think aswell as the shape suiting him, he seemed to really understand what SDG wanted from him in the middle. He looked physically stronger and fitter, was much more aggressive and then on the ball showed his quality

I thought he was poor in the first half and improved a bit in the second. But nothing he has shown so far to be a first pick but it is very early days in his Hibs career.

Improved as the game went on latter part his movement and touch were better his confidence grew and he was drifting past decent players picking out some excellent passes and a few good interventions

Looks a player if he can keep that up

    Early days

I was in Colombia in January and met a group of Odense fans who all really rated Manneh from his time there. That alone has been enough to make me think he will be a good player for us!

On a more positive note, SDG wasn't asked about Hoilett so he didn't give anything up anything about Hoilett, so maybe

I think he didn’t mention him as he wasn’t asked by the reporter, he asked about Rocky, SDG then have info on him and was the asked about Triantis

Same. Triantis, Levitt and Newell all start ahead of him for me. I’d go as far to say NMW also. Time will tell though.

I think the way Gray's been speaking about him not being up to speed and taking time to adjust to the Scottish game he seems to think that with a good pre-season we should see a improved player which is probably fair enough…

Transfer rumours … Celtic linked with Japanese striker Shin Yamada and talk of Johnny Kenny going out on loan with a host of clubs interested. They are also interested in a West Ham midfielder ‘ Andy Irving ‘ according to an article with surprisingly hertz mentioned too as well as a few championship clubs .

Is there a chance of a Hibs signing happening anytime soon or even a rumour? 💤

    And we've signed 2 players.

Would like to think Newell is well down the pecking order ,and Manneh and MacGrath are well in front of him
