Not seeing any news on the Vente transfer front? I was hopefully the move to Heerenveen would have gone through, but it seems all quiet. Surely the mooted 2 million euro fee would cover Triantis's transfer and signing on fee?

If we get Triantis back, I would say we have the strongest midfield, outside of the Old Firm, good strength in depth in all positions across the five.

It's a no brainer to splash out on Nectar. He's already shown what he can do and will only improve with experience. I'm not sure where his ambitions lie, but regular football in a good performing side like Hibs, it's the best place for him to develop.
On Transfermarkt his values gone from 800k to 2m since his move to PEC Zwolle.

The main transfer window opens tomorrow, June 16th, does anyone know what that means?

It means you can register a player from the 16th.

I would hope with Triantis we don’t let it drag on as we did with Luke McCowan. He’s one I really want us to sign, but if it doesn’t happen I’d like to think we have a suitable replacement in mind.
Triantis is a different scenario than McCowan.

You would expect we have a very good relationship with Triantis and his agent, given he has been with us over the last couple of seasons. I expect if we have met the fee asked by Sunderland, then offered Triantis a wage which would make him one of the top 3 earners at the club, then the ball is in his court. His national team manager has been quoted Triantis wanted to be released from national team duty as he has a lot on his mind.

The squad are due back for pre season training this week. It's Triantis goal to be in the Australian World Cup squad so he needs a full pre season preparation. Hibs will also want him prepared and ready for our early European ties.

Triantis is one who we will have pushed the boat out for, but given him a deadline to decide.

I have no doubt he will have more lucrative and exotic options on the table. It's whether he and his agent decide if Hibs fit best with his career path. There is no doubt that if he spends the next year or two with us and progresses as he has, then he will get to a higher level. But he may decide to take the jump now, but will start from scratch at a new club which comes at a higher risk.

Hibs will know the fee and Triantis' terms and what's required already. If we can't match them, then moving on swiftly is sensible.

    Simple fact is this;

If someone offers them more than hibs and him more money, he'll go there.

He'll only end up at hibs if he doesn't get offered more money and Sunderland a bigger fee or loan, else where.

Being brutally honest, you are probably right.

But I would like to think there will be a bit more nuance than this in the deal to bring him here. Sunderland will have more than likely set a fee, given he is a player on the periphery of their squad and highly unlikely to play in the EPL.

Yes, we could be blown out of the water wages wise. Depends on how much and if we are willing to offer him daft wages, which could cause disrupt squad morale.

He needs to be a starter wherever he goes.

Big year for him with the world cup around the corner.

Hope this helps us, as Boyle, miller and iredale will be watched often.

Also saying Sunderland only want to loan him out again and don’t want to sell.

Which doesn't make much sense, if he goes out on loan for a season again he’ll be in the final year of his contract for the 26/27 season.

Just saw Joe Newell and his partner walking their dug on Portobello prom.

Was going to ask his thoughts on Fifeshirehibs opinion on him and the score with Triantis.

Decided not to. Thought it wouldn't be appropriate to be approached by an erse like me.

Hearts signed a striker from Aalesunds (Norwegian second tier team), Claudio Braga.

Three goals and an assist in 8 games so far this season.

Paid money for him, 25 years old good age.

Braga has been mentioned as a possible signing over there for the last couple of weeks. One from their analytics team or just another of their scattergun signings?

Norwegian 2nd division though. Is this the transformation they thought they were promised? Time will tell.

@KilmarnockFC are leading the race to sign @CorkCityFC striker Djenairo Daniels! 🇳🇱

The Dutch forward has impressed since his arrival, scoring four goals in nine games! ⚽️

However, he was only signed as short-term injury cover and is expected to move on this summer! ☀️

No one can really tell as no one knows how players like that will perform in this league. The overwhelming majority don’t work out and you’re left with players on long term contracts but there are exceptions that do work.

You only need to look at the Hearts squad or us over the last couple of years to see all the duds on long contracts that sap the life out of your resources. They’re all a gamble.

Hearts squad must be huge right now. Maybe I’m seeing the same signings reported a few times without noticing, but i swear they have signed around 8 players.

They also seem to be mostly foreign which goes against McInnes’ usual squad dynamic.

Give me 2-3 quality signings over Jamestown scattergun any day.

In fairness he would have had 2x that at Easter Road last season and a couple of trips to Glasgow before Bottom Six football brought the 4 figure crowds into play

Maybe he's counting the two teams, the officials, subs, team staff, the owls, 36 pundits from BBC Sportsound, polis, stewards, people who can see in from the castle, bulbs in the floodlights. Does that take it bigly over 20k?

Think we will still be waiting for the contract talks with the players from last season. If they don't come back which is looking more likely now then we need to find alot more quality than was required before.
