Apparently 90% of businesses go out of business completely after administration or liquidation but football clubs always seem to survive in one form or another.
I would imagine that a creditor who was local to a football club would think twice about pulling the plug as it would be bad for business in the community to say nothing about windaes being pit in. Examples being businesses and suppliers around Gorgie when our neighbours gloriously imploded.

Does this mean the huns are now the second youngest team in the leagues rather than the newest club?

I'm really surprised by how little media attention this has got. In fact I was initially sceptical that it had happened at all because I couldn't find anything on it!
It's a damn shame for the Sons and a loss to Scotland's football heritage, but the phoenix club really should be put down to the bottom of the pyramid. Although you could say that wouldn't be sporting integrity, given they're just getting the same treatment the last replacement club got in 2012. Imagine if Sevco had been allowed to start in the Championship as some folk wanted back then - would DFC2 have started there too???

Most businesses use debt to operate. Football clubs, including ours, are no different.

If it wasn't for supporters in different clubs coming together and putting pressure on their clubs, sevco would have been in the championship

IIRC it wasn't so long ago that AFC Bournemouth were in that very situation, in fact their Wiki page is a litany of near misses with liquidation and debt. It seems the local populace weren't all that bothered about the club, a few thousand diehards aside, until EPL glamour came knocking
