Who are these two targets for the price of a Triantis? Our midfield is already pretty stacked. I’ve said it before, I’m convinced our board will push the boat out for SDG this summer. If 1.5m is what it takes to secure Triantis, that’s what we’ll pay. One thing about the Gordons is that they have backed every manager with cash. And there’s nothing that’s been said recently to indicate that will change. Our transfer record is likely to be smashed this window - possibly more than once.
I know T I’ve been very much in the Gordon’s camp from day 1 as I know they will back us as much as they can . As I’ve said before for all the mistakes they’ve made I think they have a bond with the club and genuinely care about it , we are lucky to have them as owners IMO .

I suppose what I meant by two targets for the price of Triantis is if we end up in a position where the fee unrealistic for us or another club offers more and we lose out we could still end up just as well of if we spend the money wisely on a couple of other quality players if that makes sense…

For what its worth I would rather have him back and I’ve no doubts the club will try everything possible to get him
    back too 👍.

I hope so, he's a players I think would take back.
Interesting the poster mentions a loan even though he has just over a year left on his contract . I might be wrong but I don’t see Swansea recouping much in a fee which makes me wonder would they opened to the idea of loaning him out to us again.

I can never remember who the ITK guys are in here, so I’m just going to pretend I didn’t read that and get on with my day.

I think Josh Mulligan is a really good player, same with Lyall Cameron.

But the thought of Rangers having those two and Connor Barron in midfield doesn’t worry me at all.

Suppose it depends if they’re squad players or starters. Great squad players to have. More so Mulligan and Cameron

Said the same before, any Sevco fan with a head operating at half capacity can see they aren't challenging Celtic with signings like that. They might also wonder when all the new investment is going to arrive from their new owners (ahem).

Yip like you had expected a bit more activity by now, Rocky staying or going, Hoilett staying or going, Myko any real interest, same with Triantis, Porto, anyway all will be revealed in due course no doubt. 😁

Would it be fair to assume players, agents and club officials are mainly in holiday just now given lack of transfer activity?

If only we were using analytics, we would have 5 or 6 in by now, maybe not what the manager wants or needs but still

I see on the Swansea forum they were talking about reducing the size of their squad by moving on some fringe players. We actually got a mention along with Derby in “ we really need Derby and Hibs to get their cheque books out ‘ take it that was referring to us about Myko . I don’t know if Derby was for another player or are interested in Myko . At the right price would folk be happy to see him back or think we should move on ?
Does anybody have a cheque book these days? Answers on a postcard...

Yeah, I would take him at the right price. Wouldn't push the boat out too much though.

Linked with Swansea and Bristol City. I'd be shocked if he was to end up back here.

Would be good for our European chances if we manage to hold onto Bushiri, then sign Porteous, Henderson, Triantis and Myko.

Would be good for our Silverware and scooshing 3rd place chances aswell.

That squad would be the best Hibs team in a very very long time, and also quite settled from day 1.

    Why couldn't we pay £1m/£1.5m?

Even if we sold him in say a year and he has another good season he's going to be worth at LEAST double that so we'd make our money back.

  28. #3508
One or two in panic mode already regarding the lack of players in.

Not getting guaranteed European Football until Christmas (at present) will have undoubtedly affected transfer planning. We will have less funds and I expect finances will be handled a bit more responsibly now, given the £7m yearly loss which was announced not long ago.

We are in a decent position at the moment, but understand we cannot stand still. There are still quite a few high earners in the squad who still have to be moved on, Jair & Vente for example.

Gray and MacKay have now got us to the position where we really do not need that many new players. If we manage to move on Jair & Vente this will free up space for two new forward players. I expect the delay in some new signings is that we are still negotiating with Bushiri & Triantis.

If we had guaranteed European football I get that we would need a good number of quality players to be a success in both Europe & domestically. Maybe some think we should spend fortunes in the hope of getting through to the league phase of the Europa or Conference League. I don't think we should gamble on this and in turn affect the financial stability of the club. As others have said it was a sliding doors moment when Aberdeen won the cup and it changed things massively.

Get that and we’d have a chance of conference league and an outside chance of third

Seemed like it he wouldn't have been up at the training groud if we weren't surely.
