Well my first ever race meeting at Musselburgh ended all good in the end. I’m not a gambler at all but decided on £10 for each of the seven races. After four races I was down £40 and the day was looking bleak. Turned it around though in the last three races and ended £55 up on the day. Really enjoyed the day, fantastic entertainment and I will be back.

I did the same, after the day was done I had put on £140 worth of bets and ended up winning £288.01 by the end of the day, most of it came from some horse named Fletcher that was about 50-1 just because I liked the name

A tip for next time rather than saying 'some horse called Fletcher because I liked the name' try saying:

'Fletchers Dream was the bet of the day for me, I'm surprised more people weren't on. That last place in a class 5 handicap at Redcar was better than the bare form suggested and being down the field over all kinds of distances from 5f to 1 mile suggested the trainer never lost faith that he'd find the right race for him.'

    Noted

Best part about it was I had the most muted celebration of all time, I had bet on that horse on my app in the morning, then pure forgot about it, during the race I was people watching, when I turned round and saw the results I just said to my pal by the way I think I bet on that horse that just won, he didn't believe me as it was such an outsider

Because of the amount of people at the racing my mobile data wasn't working, so wasn't til about 15 minutes later I was like aye I def just won that race

    Pure racing expert
