Not a gig but took in Moulin Rouge at the weekend at the Playhouse a modern take on the movie

Spent half the night trying to guess what song they were singing as I am slow on the uptake

Vibrant production with good fast flowing storyline with excellent performances from all the principals

    A spectacular spectacular

    You can can can
Brilliant performance. Was there last night. It was a signing for the deaf performance and credits go to the women signing, how you keep up is beyond me. I've a friend who signs and I'm asking her at the weekend about it.

Just as well it wasn’t Monday that’s when Satine takes her day off

Thought they all nailed the big numbers

They did. Just an amazing energy about the show.

Probably have to watch the Ewan mcgregor and Nicole kidmam film to bring some order to my life now.😁

Did day one of Neighbourhood Weekender at Warrington yesterday. Was a bit apprehensive about doing it sober, but really enjoyed it in the end.

Royston Club, Amy Macdonald, Bluetones, Dylan Rhys Thomas, Lottery Winners, Wombats, James

Certainly a rarity that James did both Sit Down & Laid so that was a bonus

Andrew Cushin on Monday - class

Wet Leg last night - amazing!

    Two more gigs this week

    Brogeal tomorrow

    Tyler The Creator on Friday

Speaking of which…he’s set to finish at 11. Last train back at 11:45

That’s going to be quite tight making it if we stay til the end, isn’t it?!

They tend to do both songs most gigs these days, especially at Festivals. They seem to have got over the reluctance to sing Sit Down these last few years. I'll be seeing them in a few weeks at the Isle of Wight festival, they're closing it in the big top. Canny wait!

How were Amy MacDonald and Lottery Winners?

It was great and I kind of like that they don't do the charade that is an encore.

No luck with Ticketmaster for Kneecap at the O2 Academy this morning. Will just need to try again with the general sale on Saturday.

Just bought a standing ticket for Metallica at Hampden next year.

August we're off to Bristol for two nights of Idles.

Amy MacDonald’s more familiar stuff went down quite well, but I think she was a bit early in the day to have too much of an impact.

Lottery Winners were great as always, but Thom spends so long interacting with the crowd that they lose time for at least a couple of songs, if not more. Would expect them to get a longer slot further up the bill next year.

Was an interesting shift in crowd when the Scousers were clearing out after the Wombats before James came on!

Brogeal were excellent on Thursday night. One of the best live acts around just now

Tyler, The Creator last night. Unreal. I don’t think I’ve seen a show like that before and I don’t think I ever will

Enjoy it if you’re going tonight in Glasgow

Threats and the Eddie's at hive tonight. The former were outstanding after a 16 year hiatus and the latter were solid as usual. Ace night all in all.

Kasabian playing another gig at the Corn Exchange at relatively short notice (they did so last year too) - 23rd July. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. I've got tickets on the O2 pre-sale.
