    Insufferable pish, off after 2mins.

I assume none of those idiots are capable of anything resembling English?
Arguably Scotland's biggest podcast/youtube channel (certainly with football).

"Pish", "Idiots" and unable to "resemble English".

Maybe just not to your taste (or fully mine) but just say that?

I do struggle with the overly casual nature of it at times, and I miss when it was just Si Ferry doing the 1 on 1s, but that was worth persevering with for some of the stories and just hearing how he'd been doing.

I think there is something in knowing what you're getting with Cummings. I reckon his Mrs (Josh Doig's sister) has been really good for him. If he was living in Terrigal too that place is beautiful but tiny with only one prominent beachside bar.

Fair play to him. I thought he was leaving the Indian team (who average 35k a game, not quite 50,60 like he said but they do get them and it's still huge) but it sounded like he'd be staying.

It was the antithesis of the Hibs Observer podcast where Patrick McPartlin interviewed David Gray that I listened to this morning, and enjoyed very much, but this hour or so of relentless nonsense from Cummings was certainly entertaining. Some laugh out loud anecdotes and one liners.

The image of Conrad Logan as a jockey is a hard one to get out my mind.

… A Scottish football podcast where a Dundonian and Glaswegian interview a player from Edinburgh? Strangest comment ever.

Is it? I'm from Edinburgh and can speak without saying 'mate' or swearing every 2 seconds.

If that is entertainment for a lot of football fans, then they are welcome to it. I prefer content that I can actually understand.

I honestly thought it was just me, I switched off after I heard "mate" for the 35th time.

Amazes me how keen people are to mock regional or class-specific accents.

    Who is mocking their accent?

It's the incessant 'mate', swearing and shouting that supposedly passes for content that I'm getting at.

Clearly, I'm an old fart if the majority like that sort of crap

The former I agree with but I'm gonna be honest and say I've no ****ing chance of the latter

I particularly enjoy the excessively forced laughter and the rolling about in hysterics at slightly amusing anecdotes.

The first few minutes were terrible, but after that the stories were really good.

Was about to post the same thing - thought there was no way I can listen to this if this is what it’s going to be like for the entirety, but it does settle down a bit into a more accessible listen.

I like Cummings, some of his stories were funny.

But I had to switch it off halfway through. It was verging on unlistenable.

That's not snobbery, it's just an opinion on this episode (although a lot of the Open Goal stuff is equally as difficult a listen).

Cummings seems to have a bit of Gary O'Connor exaggeration when he tells a story

Also, did he say he took out £1,000 to gamble and turned it into £60,000?!

Some really good stories in there though

😂 If that was the case, I'd be the only sob to come out of Craigmillar.

I'll head back to the sanctuary of the PM board and leave you common people to it.

I would do the stories are in the main very funny. According to Jason everyone loved him whether that view is shared by all the people he says that about is likely open to question 😄

Don’t mind open goal. Generally have funny and interesting guests on each week. Even the regulars such as Halliday, Ferguson and McFadden are good to listen to.
Slaney can be a bit of a slaver with his overuse of the words incredible, unbelievable and amazing all the time but on the whole I find it an enjoyable listen with some good laughs along the way.

Slaney a mate of the host Si Ferry
He's like the mate every group has that copies everything the group "leader" says and does and swans over him.
