A cracking player. Technically sound, physical, good football brain and a really positive attitude. It sums up all that is wrong with Scottish football that people laughed mockingly when he stated he wanted to be Scotland's best player. Guy showed a bit confidence and had to backtrack because we revel in tearing young lads down.

Season before last he was statistically in the top 10 players in the world for his age and position. I'm not a massive fan of stats when used solely to make a point but you still have to have something to post numbers that get you into that conversation.

Was a tough watch that. Scotland in complete control but hardly a scintillating performance. I would take guys like McGinn, Robertson and Adams off who have played pretty much all season and give some younger lads a chance. Hopefully Bowie gets on

Could have given each of them a sub appearance in either match, but no, let’s get more of Adams and Conway, meanwhile Hirst has had circa 70 minutes on both matches

Never mind getting a holiday with the family/girlfriend lads, come to the Scotland squad and you can train and not get on the pitch for your commitment to the cause
