Haha forgot she was in this. Suggested to my wife that we start watching it tonight but she absolutely despises Kelly Macdonald - she says her voice grates on her but I think it goes beyond that
I'm halfway through the series, so am still forming my view.

But... the KM character should be blasted. The way she breaks just about every confidentiality rule in the book has me screaming at her

Someone please spoil the plot for me and tell me she gets her jotters.

Just watched all of Breeders starring Martin Freeman a lesson in how not to be a Dad highlighting the stresses and strains on relationships that bringing up a young family brings

As my four year old grand daughter said to me after the birth of her sister “ It’s not easy bringing up two you know “ 😳

Each episode lasts approx 25 minutes

    Netflix

I binge watched Dep Q I kind of enjoyed it but can't decide if it was the acting or just some of the writing but it just felt a bit clunky. Similar to The Rig.

    Feel much the same.

Too many cliches for me, with some mis-castings too.

Wasn't as keen on this series of Race Across the World. I grew to like them all so didn't mind who won but I think the biggest problem was India being so cheap none of them had any budget worries or didn't need to work that much.

Not sure where the next one could be. All over Scandinavia? Australia?

Scenery in China and India was fantastic

Was amazed at how modern the main towns in China were and their transport systems looked awesome like a hidden secret urban areas maybe not so

Don’t think they are losing sleep over a trade deal with Trump

They done China last series. Not a fan of it this year. Couldn't take to any of the teams and found it but boring compared to previous seasons. I also had it in my head they were starting in London and doing Europe for some reason.

Didn’t enjoy this series as much as previous. They seemed to devote more of the program to contestants discussing their personal issues and past histories, don’t remember so much of that previously. Would much rather seen more of the countries and locals. The scenery was spectacular though.

There’s definitely a change in her circumstances at the end of season one, and more jeopardy, but very much the same quirky humour so if its not your bag it probably wont grow on you.
Despite your recommendation, I didn't think much of episode 8, but I returned to the series last night and watched episode 9, Escape from S*it Mountain.

I thought that was excellent so I'm looking forward to the next episode. 🤞

I'm with Steve above - I really enjoyed Dept Q and I'm looking forward to series 2.

The criticisms are valid in many ways but it has enough grit and charm to overcome the 'cliches'.

Goode really grew on me throughout the series too.

First full new series I've managed to pull myself through in a while and I'm glad I did.

Yeah saw it advertised and realised I had never watched the first series so currently watching the first series, it’s very good.

I’ve been forced to watch it with the Mrs, I’ve hated every second don’t understand the hype it’s had, some of the acting has been brutal.
I stuck with it and thought it just got pass marks and no more. Why is everyone so hostile? It’s very, very cliched with the characters and there are loads of scenes where it’s so obviously scripted to try and drop funny Scottish humour into it but it misses by a mile - some of that down to the directing/acting and some down to the writing.

Then there’s the costumes and haircuts - why?! It’s ludicrous, genuinely points where you’re left wondering what year it’s supposed to be - smart phones, flat screens, and laptops on the one hand, 80’s clothes, haircuts and cars on the other.

The other thing I really didn’t like about it was the clumsy shoe horning of plot points. Without giving any spoilers away, one example is the dad telling the police, randomly, about the necklace that was about to become significant to the story. It was so out of keeping with the scene, that it annoyed me 😂.

And Kelly McDonald’s character isn’t going near her patient in a personal capacity in a million years, that whole plot line was ludicrous.

I couldn’t watch the Rig, managed two episodes and it was awful.

Watched the second season of The Last of Us, pretty meh with that as well - I can’t be doing with shows that are predicated on clever people making consistently stupid decisions.
