    Oz World Cup Squad

    Miller and Boyle -in

    Iredale - out.

Can’t say the new coach has impressed me with his choices this time around…..guess we’ll see next week.

Looking at the reaction on twitter it would appear a number of fans aren't to impressed with the squad. Surprised to see Jackson Irvine isn't named in the squad unless he's injured

Admittedly I don’t know who he’s competing with in his position, but I’m surprised that Iredale misses out when Miller gets in, when Iredale was the better out of the two this season (not to say Miller doesn’t deserve his spot).

What’s the script with Triantis? Last I heard on here was that he had pulled out of the Aus training camp to try and get in the Greece squad. I can’t find the Greece squad for their upcoming friendlies, but it’s presumably announced by now seeing as it’s a week away, and I’d assume we’d have heard of Triantis was in it.

I suppose it might be of no relevance to Hibs anyway but I do think he deserves a crack at international football and I’m still desperate to see him back at Hibs.

It is galling, to me at least, is that Iredale doesn’t make the squad, but Kyle Rowles does.

As far as Triantis is concerned, there was no reason for his withdrawal given.

Many of us think it’s because He is now going to play for Greece..but nothing really to say whether that is the case or not.

Think some coaches are quite loyal to players who have been regulars. A more difficult conversation to drop a regular than a guy brand new into the squad.

Yep, the only reason I can think of….although Rowles hasn’t exactly been a star performer in his last couple of games.

Seen this on triantis - He just said he’s got a lot of things on at the moment, a lot on his mind in terms of what he wants to do. We have to respect that, and we’ll see what happens.”

Unfortunately for Scotland, I have a feeling Greece will never the next World Cup.

Whether or not he can make their squad should be his question but If he backs himself then who knows.
