no we need to win 2nd and 3rd round games in Europa league to get to the play off stage that would guarantee at least conference league group stages

Fully understand we will play a seeded side in the Europa League 2nd qualifying round.
Will be very difficult to overcome one of these, particularly a high seed. However, if we somehow progress the 3rd qualifying round might be slightly easier. If we knock out a seed, we take this seeded score and may become a seeded team (if our new seed co-efficient is high enough compared to other sides in this round). Noticed there are two unseeded sides already in the 3rd qualifying round we could have a chance against Wolfsberg (Austria) & Fredrikstad (Norway), both good trips an aw. Win this we will have European group stage football until Christmas no matter what happens.
Just clutching at straws after yesterday's debacle.

See since the draw for each round happens before the previous round is decided, if we lost in the Europa, would we replace a seeded team in the conference?

We have as much a chance as the Irish mob who the Celtc striker who played yesterday was on loan to. They made the groups, we are the third best team in Scotland and it's time to look forward, positively. If they can make not only the groups but the qualifying rounds of the conference, with a little bit of luck in the draw for a change there's no reason we cannae either. No seeded team in the first games especially will want to play us.

Our co-efficient score is low, think it's 7.07. This is unlikely to make us a seed in either competition unless we knock out a couple of sides which will improve it.

Club coefficients | UEFA rankings | UEFA.com use the country filter to view teams hibs coefficient is 4.5 while scotlands as a nation is 7.11 so we take the higher of the 2 (7.11) that cant change until next season
exception is an unseeded team beating a seeded team then the unseeded team takes the seeded team coefficient for next round onlyLess talk, more gifs.21.05.16

One of the best experiences I’ve had as a Hibs supporters was Aston Villa away which came as an unseeded team in a tie we got put out of.
I understand the financial implications to what happened yesterday but I’ll let the board worry about that, I don’t think if we’d have got it we would have gone on a wild spending spree. The black knights and Gordon’s have high ambitions for us regardless of what happened yesterday and they don’t need the cash to allow us to invest.
We’re not going to win a European competition so for me it’s all about making memories and we still have plenty opportunity to do so.
Disappointing not to have guaranteed group stages football but that shouldn’t dampen the excitement of the draws ahead. If we have learned anything about this team and management it’s that we shouldn’t write them off before the draw is even made.

What strikes me is a number of the seeded teams (Partizan, Braga, the Moldovans, Shakhtar) are well frequented with each other in the competition and tend to be well matched when they play each other with one goal in it. They are also stacked with foreign aging talent. They have had a few years to build up cash reserves we dont have, look better equipped on paper than us to compete but have been eliminated by ‘poorer’ sides than them before.

I’ve seen Hearts play against supposed big teams in Europe recently and felt they were their for the taken if Hearts didn’t do what they normally do and shat the bed.
Aberdeen beat Frankfurt recently.
We’ve put out Greek and Swiss opposition recently,
We’re now benefiting from the ambitious Black Knight group who will want us to tackle this challenge head on and will back us accordingly to do so.
Look how well Rangers have done in Europe recently and since about 12 games into last season have been no better than us.
There’s loads of reasons we still have a chance, we just have to hope the people running the club and team aren’t as defeatist as some of our fans.

In terms of "no chance", I would have given us no chance of finishing 3rd in November
I'm putting nothing past this team, was a sickener yesterday, but I've got more faith in this Hibs side after this season than I've had in years, yesterday doesn't change that

The same losers giving us no chance now were the ones who had us relegated in November and were calling for Gray’s head.

Lugano would be great for an away day (they play European games in Geneva).
Tiraspol would mean no away day as you can't travel to Moldova.
Partizan not sure about. You can get indirect flights to Belgrade but UK gov advice is cautious about travelling there.

Its worth noting that Uefa do a sort of regionalisation of the draw which is announced on the day of the draw. This narrows down potential opponents further.
Its larely based on geography of course, but given so many teams means you can still face teams from further away.

We'll be competitive in every qualifying game regardless of opposition. Not once this season under gray was this anything other than the case and that includes champions league Celtic, Europa league rangers and conference league hearts

If it's Shakhtar they play their Euro matches in Gelsenkirchen (Schalke's ground). Decent trip but empty stadium with very few home fans understandably.

I can’t believe there are folk that give us no chance of progressing in a tie that hasn’t been drawn yet.
We’re obviously going to need a wee bit luck in the draw but there are going to be ties that are winnable along the line. There will be winnable ties in there.

In the last couple of years I’d expect the seeded teams to have a high % of progressing but I really doubt if it’s a 100% success rate for the seeded sides.
