Having had tickets for the the original fight, I wasn't sure if I could be arsed going to the rescheduled fight. I was kinda scunnered and fed up with circus TBH. I ended up succumbing to FOMO and got tickets. So glad I did. I've been to many big fights over the years (Lewis v Bruno, Benn v Eubank 2, Josh Taylor at MSG, pretty much every Scottish World Champion since the 90's, Naz........). Saturday was up there with the best.

Utterly ridiculous atmosphere, especially from the moment Eubank Sr appeared on the big screens. Competitive fights on the undercard, brilliant main event, outrageous stadium. Despite everything, I was still Team Benn and thought he'd done enough for a draw at least (I've since changed my mind having re-watched the fight) but both fighters emerged with their stock enhanced. I really hope there's no 2nd fight though. They should leave it at that. Normally I'd want them to do their own thing and possibly come together again in a couple of years, like their Dads but if there's to be a re-match it needs to be next up due to Jr's age. I'd rather they both chased down world titles in their own divisions now, in fact Eubank should probably go up to 168.

Benn v Taylor at Easter Road in a final eliminator for Barrios anyone? We can dream!

I think Benn would probably beat Josh these days. He's never been a massive puncher, more volume and accuracy, and Benn showed an incredible chin against a much bigger man than JT. I just think Benn would be too ferocious and too busy, there's no way JT is stopping him.

I think Benn would likely stop him unfortunately, but there'd be good money in it and he might see it as a final fight for big money.

I could see Usyk retiring. Unbeaten and undisputed champion at two weights having beaten his closest rivals twice.

He'd be 39 in his next fight and I don't think he has anything else to prove and I certainly don't think his legacy will be tarnished having never beaten Parker.

Josh's biggest strength (or at least one of them) has always been his left to the body. Harder to land against shorter, stockier guys. Think that was one of the problems against Catterall. And combined with Josh's own age and size, it is another reason he probably should've stepped up to Welter earlier.

So I agree. Been wouldn't be an ideal opponent. I'm sure he wouldn't duck the chance. But for me, a more tactical couple of fights could see Josh fighting for world titles at Welter before his career is over.

Luke Campbell has been elected as mayor for hull. Unfortunately it's as a reform candidate.

Canelo V Bud. Now there’s a dream fight. All time great status for Crawford once he wins

Looking forward to a trip through to the Hydro tomorrow. Thought JT looked much, much better at welterweight compared to his last few outings. Looked natural, healthy and happy. Last few fights alarms bells were ringing but this time out he looks good.

The doors are 4pm with an under undercard starting at 4.05. Main undercard is 7 and it's decent. The Lee McGreggor fight in particular looks promising. Both Alex Arthur and Willie Limond's sons are on the undercard too. Think the main event is slotted for 10pm.

Be the usual mad rush for the last train home.

Josh Taylor looks a bit haggered. Think he likes a bevy or something by the looks of him. Maybe wrong and hope I am but maybe looking for the last couple of pay days

Does drink age you more than getting punched in the face repeatedly?

Josh by far the more skilled boxer here, his durability seems to have slipped just enough to make this interesting.

4 years ago this fight isn't competitive, now, Josh looks good, but seems to really notice every shot landed on him atm.

Probably just about ahead but needs to find something in these last 3 rounds or he’ll lose

Aye he’s losing. Shame. A win tonight might have given him another big fight but that’s him done now I feel. Starts strong but fades quickly.

    Edelman’s fight to lose now.

Taylor fell off a cliff the last 4 rounds.

Such a Shame. His opponent is 4 years older too

Never would have beat him but he should have fought bud at 147 as soon as he got undsputed, hung around far too long

Why was he looking so shocked at the decision? He clearly lost.

    Aye was quite funny.

Thought he was good for 5 rounds then struggled big time.

Hard to argue. What he achieved was absolutely unreal. But it’s clearly taken its toll.

Taylor surely done after that. Started well then was well beaten. Laughable he was shocked at the scorecards.
