No. But somebody needs to be brave enough to stop him doing it.
And the Supreme Court need to not choose to play semantics games with it.
So far the courts have been stopping him at every turn. He’s doing damage but he’s not managed to change a single law. To really ramp things up he needs to pass laws or the courts will continue to block him.

You're right, of course. I'm friendly with a woman who's one of Harris's sorority gals, and campaigned, phoned and knocked doors for her. She says the same thing.

Yet people are still being hauled off the streets, out of restaurant kitchens and ICE are demanding access to schools, all without paperwork or evidence.

The Supreme Court weren't expected to take the Presidential
Immunity case - and as we know they took it, and a majority not just agreed, but took a pretty extreme decision on it. The challenge to birthright citizenship was considered laughable and certain not to be taken up, but today that's what they were debating. Like Roe v Wade, these were all considered to be settled law.

And the ruling party in Congress just seem to have opted out. I don't know what the **** they think they're being paid for, but they're not doing it.

People are losing their jobs because of deemed insufficient loyalty to the regime and its intentions, or having questioned the legality of planned actions.

I actually think that it'll sort itself out, somehow. A worry is how big a thing it might take for enough people to agree that this is dangerous and unacceptable and do something about it. And the absolute stupidity of it all just makes you want to bang your head off sore things.

I agree, the damage is considerable. I think as more and more election results go the way of the dems then we will start to see Republicans fear their own voters more than a primary challenge funded by Musk. Republicans lost a Mayor the other night who won by 30% of the vote last time. That’s a big swing and puts almost every republican seat in America up for grabs. Self preservation will surely wake some up. There is also the potential for default in the summer if they can’t get their ‘big beautiful bill’ passed. There is lots to play for yet.

The courts have already stopped him sending more people to CECOT? The courts have already reinstated thousands of federal workers? So he can’t do what he wants. I’m not saying he isn’t doing damage but he is not reshaping the laws of the land either.

    Land Of Hope and Dreams.

The last song that Clarence played on. And the song that Bruce sang to him on his deathbed.

I’m off to see the Boss this Tuesday in Manchester. Apparently he opens with Land of hope and dreams. Can’t wait.
I’ll enjoy a good rant about Trump as well.

He can’t change laws so he whines about the implementation.

There is a less than zero chance they default this summer unless Trump backs down. The budget he has put forward adds £5trillion to the debt and there are enough republican debt hawks to stop it. He needs democrat votes to get it through and that’s not happening.
