Brilliant finish. Another season without a trophy for Arsenal.

They started well tonight but never looked like winning this tie over two legs.

It’s quite nice to see the boring Pep-ball Premier League teams get absolutely spanked by fast and attacking sides. PSG, Inter and Barca have all been tremendous value in these SFs.

    Arsenal are just too structured.

Obsession with corner routines and long throw ins is all too predictable. It defines them.

They are good, very good. But just not good enough to win the Champions League.
They also look like they know they're not quite good enough. The difference in what PSG can create for that second goal compared to Arsenal tidily plodding about prior to that - no cutting edge to them.

PSG fannying around here. If they get to the final I feel Inter will be too strong and too intense for PSG

Final will be interesting and close.

A good PSG, albeit a bit naive at times and vulnerable under pressure. Against a streetwise and robust Inter.

You wonder when the time comes to start asking serious questions about his position?

  19. #22608
Can’t argue with the two teams in the final.

Inter been really good throughout and PSG looked the best team since the knockout stages started.

I agree. Wonder if they’ll go for the Bournemouth manager. I’m just not sure Arsenal will win anything with Arteta

He seems destined for a big move doesn't he. Maybe spurs in summer, agree he'd be a good fit at arsenal

Is the Bournemouth manager any better than Arteta though? Arsenal have improved so much under him and I think they are only a few players away from winning a league title or even a champions league, one player they are really lacking is a top class striker IMO .

Arsenals fixation with long throw ins was ridiculous especially for a team put together on the back of spend of about 800m. Doesn’t really say much for the coaches imo that it is so one dimensional. It was like watching a Tony Pulis side at stages

Every team seems to have a long throw these days. At least when Pulis did it at Stoke it was fairly unique and, more importantly, effective. The amount of games these days where there is ball after ball launched in to the box from throw ins which come to nothing is mental. We were actually guilty of it earlier in the season but now pick and choose our times to do it which has been much better.

Arteta is such a bottle merchant, Arsenal need to punt him or they will continue to fail to win anything

Best team in the competition out according to him.

I’m no sure he bottled it tonight, I thought they played pretty well. But they’re not the best team in the competition and it’s another season without a trophy.

Yep probably a time and a place take it short now and again. The first couple were quite dangerous then PSG dealt with them comfortably but Arsenal persisted with the same dull tactic over and over. Assuming Saka needs an operation for balance the commentary i was listening to said it isn’t like him to stay down genuinely burst out laughing at that point.

He doesn’t help himself saying that. Facts are they lost 3 1 over two games which also had the opposition missing a penalty.

Would find it amusing if Ange wins a European trophy and is punted while Arteta wins nothing and keeps his job!
