The Assembly on stv is a show in which autistic and learning disabled interviewers interview famous people. Michael Sheen was very good. The David Tennant interview ended with a very beautiful sunshine on leith rendition, and was particularly moving. A really thoughtful bit of television.

Another shout out for True Crime fans, The Essex Millionaire murders on STV player. I’d never heard of this before which is unusual for me, terrifying how evil some people can be.

Bluey. Probably been covered as it's simply fantastic kids TV but we just watched the episode The Sign on BBC I player. Wow, just wow. As someone who didn't have the best of upbringing it really struck a chord.

Bluey is brilliant have it on all the time for the grandkids
One thing I have noticed is they play the same music all the time in the background that stays like a music worm in your ear for the rest of the day

Your Friends and Neighbours on Apple TV is much better than I thought it would be.

Has anyone watched the new series of Black Mirror yet?
I've got a couple to go and have been pretty disappointed so far. Possibly a show that was just so good it's hard to keep hitting the heights.
The first episode just felt a bit of a rehash of the Be Right Back episode in series 2. Someone has a life ending/altering accident, technology brings them back but they aren't the same. The Bete Noire episode was ok but the reveal of the leads 'powers' was telegraphed miles out. Hotel Reverie again felt a bit of a rehash of San Junipero. Forbidden love overcome in a universe that doesn't really exist....... it dragged on about 20 minutes too long as well. Plaything is the last episode I have watched so far and the best of the bunch imo. Peter Capaldi and Lewis Gribben are both excellent and it's the most complex and questioning episode, also good to dive back into the Bandersnatch universe. Will see the season through to the end as I want to watch the sequel to USS Callister. Hopefully that doesn't disappoint.Last edited by Pretty Boy; 05-05-2025 at 08:13 PM.

Last of Us Season 2 is really shining this season. Yesterday saw the release of episode 4 of 7 in this season and the show runners confirmed on the official podcast what we were all thinking, that season 3 is in production now. We also saw all three groups of antagonists in Seattle this episode. I always thought The Last of Us 2 was going to be more difficult to do as TV episodes but they are handling the changes well and it is shaping up to be just as enthralling as the 2nd game was.

I've reverted to a 90s approach of actually watching TV on certain days at the moment. Quite like the Apple model of one episode per week.
At the moment it's Last of Us on Mondays. Wednesday/Thursday is The Studio and 3 hours of Andor, then "Your Friends and Neighbours" on a Friday.
Really enjoying all of those. As someone else said, was expecting "Your Friends and Neighbours" to not be great... it's kinda throwaway lifestyle pOrn but pretty entertaining with it.
Andor season 2 is slow burning so far but it's almost like a new Andor film every week with these 3 hour drops. I think the last couple are gonna go through the gears a bit quicker and all the build up will pay off. Very different approach to Star Wars that has raised the bar.

Couple of new seasons starting up soon. Next Thursday 15th May the 4th Volume of Love Death + Robots starts, going by the trailer it certainly looks like they've continued their promotion of different styles of animation in this volume. Then on the 16th Welcome to Wrexham is back on TV, this one relates to the season just finished so should be interesting.
