Don't know about anyone else but I'm stick to death of these puns on here. It's a football forum where people are actually interested in transfer news not stupid puns. Every time I come on I think there's maybe a rumour of some sorts. Pissing me off. Really not the plaice.

Scott Burns saying Martin Boyle still waiting to hear if Hibs will extend his deal. Apparently Hibs have until next month to activate his extension and he has interest from England and the middle east.

Finally some originality Reading the same puns as the last twenty times Will Fish was mentioned was making me eel.

According to BBC Boyle attracting interest from Australia, Middle East and England, Hibs may trigger 1 year option.

Angus Gunn to be released by Norwich too. Could we tempt him?

If he’s attracting interest from Australia, it must be a closely guarded secret, as to whom from.

I think he's actually a very good goalie, with an unfortunate weakness for losing goals low to his left hand corner

My thoughts are that Hibs will be looking to offer a 2 or 3 year deal on reduced wages. Martin will naturally be considering his options and if he's got better options elsewhere, he may decide not to accept a new offer. Which then gives Hibs a decision to make, trigger the extra year or release him. I would be surprised if we release him, as trying to find someone of a similar standard and attitude will be difficult to find. So, I think the triggering of the extra year is the likely next step and that gives us another 6 months to try and get Martin to accept a longer term offer.

Or we trigger the option and any clubs interested in him this summer have to pony up some dosh to get him?

Is that not Butland's weakness as well?

My Celtic-supporting mate keeps going on about it.

I think either way, like with Miller, we should trigger it. He's been our more important attacking threat once during our resurgence up the table. If Martin Boyle plays well, we play well and it would take a lot of work to find a replacement for him again.

Letting him go for free in the summer when we don't have to would be lunacy now. If someone is really interested in him and he wants to go again (last pay day etc) then we can perhaps talk the amount it would take to get him but there's no way at the very least he shouldn't be renewed for next season.

I'd imagine he would have been on something around 20k a week too, not a chance he's coming to Scotland unless its Celtic or Rangers.

He’s no on that in about a months time though.

He won’t be able to command anywhere near that amount in his next contract, unless he gets lucky with a deal somewhere abroad like the middle east or the MLS

I reckon a 29 year old international will quite easily get that again down there when his contract expires. Ridiculous amount of cash swilling about in championship

    You're right. A self-perpetuating circus of B-list players.
